There's a very interesting article by Kevin Maquire reported in the NEP about the unfairness of FFP and, in particular, Chelsea's preferred methods of cheating ( including by selling the women's team back to themselves for inflated prices for example)
Well worth a read but it puts into perspective how much the top 4 or 5 are nailed on tohave the advantage ( and how tantalisingly close we were to upsetting the status quo last season despite our budget ) ???.

A few weeks ago on our holiday, we visited Olympia, home of the original Olympic Games from 800 BC to around 400 AD. By the entrance to the 35000 capacity stadium were ancient stones inscribed with the names and villages of athletes who had cheated. Unfortunately, the stones don’t describe the nature of the cheating but I wouldn’t be surprised if it involved drugs and FFP ( only joking). But seriously wouldn’t it be great if the Premier League has similar plaques naming the cheaters for all future generations to see for all eternity?

Three of the top four last season have already invested over 300 million in new players, can only hope the club world cup has taken something out of Chelsea and man city!. Unfortunately for us with the example of Weah, getting players to come to Forest and give us a chance is hard!

Mossy, that sums up what I’ve been saying since we landed in the Prem mate. It’s heavily rigged ( take your choice whether it’s intentional or the incidental law of unintended consequences) in favour of the “big clubs”. clubs”. This season we got a chance because our first team were excellent, we had very few injuries or suspensions and usual contenders like Spurs and Man Utd inexplicably failed. We are in the £15 million to £30 m transfer bracket whereas our top placed teams are in the £50 m to £100 million market.

I agree Stokey at the moment us and others are being hobbled in competing on a level playing field. When the IFR is up and running proper, it could be the answer?, they issue permits to play and trade. I would imagine there will be a clamer from supporters to penalize man city at least finally, Chelsea have skirted around the rules, but it's all legal!. Villa who gave it a go, is now having to look over there shoulder at PSR, and they don't have a Grealish to sell this time!.
