Ff. It wouldn't surprise me if the new contracts we are negotiating with our top players will be for that sort of weekly wage.

I don't think Mr M wants to let any of our star players leave in the summer unless someone comes in with an astronomical bid.

In Elangas head he's already a Newcastle player going by his media posts. Keeping our best players and attracting good players will take a massive financial cost to Mr Marinakis and could put us the wrong side of FFP rules, when we started last season the player on the most wages was the loanee James Ward Prowse, it shows our players was not massive earners by today's standards. A player like MGW has about 5 more years to earn peak wages, so you can see why he would be looking at making his future financially sound at another club!.

I just wonder what Barnes would bring to our club? I believe he's 28 that's 5years older than elanga. Has he passed his peak? Or would he fit in with Nunos plans. I just don't think so, and besides what would his sell on value be, can't see a profit in him. Forest should leave well alone and get top dollar for elanga and spend it wisely on young blood.
