Just seen that Jobe Bellingham and Liam Delap have pulled out from England under 21s European Championship to play for their new clubs in a money spinning World Club tournament.
It sums up why our senior players have been so dire against Andorra and Senegal. Playing for their country is a very low priority. Their regard for the fans is non existent.

I agree Stokey Rude Bellingham is a talent but he has an I’m better than you attitude to his team mates

You can tell by the body language that he is not popular with his team mates in particular Declan Rice who runs and runs and does most of the donkey work for the team

Real Madrid finished 2nd in La Liga and were knocked out of the Champions League is Rude Bellingham a rotten apple in the barrel in which case talented as he is get him gone

PSG are the definitive example of a team that as a young side have gelled together.

Agreed Munmad. I personally think Jude Bellingham is a mediocre player who does well in Spanish football where he has more time and extremely talented players around him.
In the hurly burly of the Prem I think Elliott Anderson far outstrips him mate ….

Some players have over inflated egos and playing for Madrid is more important than England. But there's still players who respect the shirt, our very own MGW. The enjoyment he showed when he got his first cap was special, pick more players like him and we might get somewhere!

Stokey. Don't know how to read that one.

Was waiting for the punchline.

Now I am a big admirer of Anderson and delighted with his progress. But. Bellingham is only 21. Look at what he has achieved already.

Freak of nature almost. It's a matter of which 10 go with him as far as England's concerned.

Now if there is a silver lining to the last couple of games, it is that
the penny drops as far as K Walker and J Henderdon are concerned. Good England careers, both. But all good things come to an end.

Forest mate, I agree that Bellingham is an undoubted talent, especially at such a young age. But my feeling is he’s plateaued a bit. He should be running games and dominating good players. I noticed in the Euros he would fade from the game for long periods. He reminded me of Ali towards the end of his career putting in a brilliant flurry of punches in an attempt to impress the judges, then nothing in the tank for long periods, doing just enough. Declan Rice invariably outshone him in passes made, workrate, interceptions, tackles won throughout the games when they played alongside each other ( which was most of them).
Perhaps he fallen into the trap of believing his own publicity?
ATM, unless he puts in the perspiration to add to the inspiration he will become another star England player who wins Jack ?for his country and saves all his best performances for his club. Like Gerard, Lampard and Scholes. With those and Beckham we should have dominated Europe for a generation like Germany, France and Spain have done imo.

Bellingham is the best player england have got, pure class, but he shouldn't have to try and play with the likes of Henderson and burn, straight away you have a "nine" man team.

He is probably overplayed. But look at his stats, incredible.
3rd in the Ballon door.
Player of season in Germany
Top scorer for Madrid last year, when they won the treble. From midfield mind. And he missed 7 games.

At 21, most players are only breaking through.

For England think he is trying to do too much. Need to build team around him.

Liked the Muhamaad Ali Analogy though. not necessarily ? agreeing.

Exactly 67.

67 and DTP as I said he has immense talent but, as your stats say, he achieves much more for his club than his country. He has time on his side though to become truly a great.
He has to adapt to playing for his country which is entirely different to playing for his club. Think about it for a moment. For Real he plays with great players under superb coaches week in, week out, gets into a playing and system regime
For his country, it’s periodic with large gaps between tournaments interspersed with meaningless friendlies where he doesn’t know who’s in the squad from one game to another, different coach, different system, often mediocre players. There must be a temptation to do it all by himself and you can see he gets frustrated which in turn riles his team mates.
He may not have the temperament and it’s up to Tuchel to, as you see, build the team around him.
There’s a reason why a certain Eric Cantona for example failed for his country…… I’d hate to see Bellingham do the same.
