There is BBCs football gossip re forwards in the premier league ; Delap, Mbeumo, Cunhei, Pedro and Goykeres. Everton, Newcastle, United, City, Chelsea are mentioned with having discussions with these players. Never apparently Forest. If we are planning to compete at the top table ie finish in the top 6 , we need a proven premier league striker. We cannot go down the Union Berlin route again.

Heard we have a bid on the table for Delap, the lads obviously going to have options and he'll have to decide wheres best for him, hopefully he'll look at MGW, Murillo, CHO and Elenga as examples of bettering his career. ?.

We already have one of them doc. we need a back up though and we need a player who can score plenty playing behind the striker and someone who can cross a decent ball and take good corners.

Of course. This was very evident on Sunday not a good corner or free kick all afternoon. Wood is our current successful striker but getting on a bit! What a perfect mentor for a player like Delap to have. He is a similar player to Wood. Ideally we want another striker to take on players in the box ( Owen like ). Then there is a midfielder that does similar. Whatever people say we will miss MGW. His pass to Wood for his last goal he scored this season, showed great foresight from MGW and Wood knowing he would send that type of pass. Anderson cannot do this. I have always had mixed feelings re Elanga and HO, again Sunday typified them both. So how we will do next season if we rely only on Wood and no one like MGW I am not confident about.

Totally agree that our crossing and dead balls are not good enough for a top team. Should be as high on the list of priorities as a new striker, without doubt.
