The irony is, when the fixtures came out I thought, I hope we don't have to beat Chelsea last day of the season to stay up.

Yes, I'll say again that I think we're not good enough atm for the CL yet Stripe, unless we are prepared to accept humiliating defeats in every game.
The problem is that there are a load of future variables none of us know yet - which means we are all peeing in the wind with this debate.
How many of our quality players will be sold? How many equal or better replacements can we source? How long will those replacements take to bed-in? Also, dare I say it - how motivated is Nuno for European football or is he being forced into trying to achieve the unsustainable by an over-ambitious owner?
Lots to consider.

I really hope we make C. L, its the best competition in the world, the financial gains for the club will be off the scale compared to what we're used to.
I'll take a champions league run much like Villas this season and settle for a safe mid table finish.
We will need at least 8 decent signings, maybe more if players leave. Yes we'll have to bed them in but much like this season in Nuno i trust.
I've been dreaming of watching forest in the champions league since its very beginning, i'm in my 40s now and the dream is within touch.
I don't think I've ever missed a champions final and generally watch all the English sides. All those years watching Fergie trying to win it year after year, the great Chelsea sides, Liverpool adding to their total and of course Arsenal failing time and time again.
Now they all have to move over because next season is our turn. ?

Legolas how do you know we won’t go out and buy 4 superstars if we qualify? In recent years no premier league teams have had humiliating defeats regularly in depth its the strongest league in Europe, so if we finish top 5 I think we’ll be competitive,

I'll take marinakis 5 years and long may it continue, put bums on seats and made the city ground a sell out with many incentives of low cost season cards initially, that was never sustainable though in terms of finance, but it got us to the premier and introduced a whole new generation of fans
Now he gas to build the stadium capacity for that new generation and he will.
