Never moved to toon lego bud, still in north shields overlooking a beautiful marina. But still obviously come under geordie. Believe me you'd tell from my strong accent if ever you met me. Yeah sh1t none stop from arab freaks. But nothing can take away the pride I have for the team I live for and season we've had. I say so many times on here my friend. I don't need your ronaldos/ Messi I just love to watch players putting 100% in, or a good days graft. Playing the right football as a unit.

Sounds lush Bowie. I too would never move away from the coast. Long walks/ wheelchair pushes and fishing for bass with lungs filled with sea-air is therapy in itself down here in Cornwall.

One of my all time hero's look up to lego rick stein. You ever been to one of his restaurants bud? I've posted on here before, my uncles worked on the trawlers from here. I myself left school at 14 to work on quay but went back to pass my exams. For me basic English and maths would get me through life. After that it's who ya know. Nearly ended up on trawlers thank f ck I didn't. Work for the water board now on a massive sewage site. But all computing, or samples etc. Strange how life takes us. Actually just asked for 4 x day week. I get Fridays off from now on. I train the younguns up now coming through, best I can. sorry was going to say earlier, my old man cockney worked most of his life here also on shipyards on the tyne.

??? 2tone. Btw me and 2tone went for a meal down on north shields fish Quay. I showed him places I worked etc. well most gone now. Oh and the bar Sam fender worked down there before he made it famous. Actually huge now. 2tone brilliant lad.

As I'm wary of attracting Ed33's wrath again Bowie - I'll whisper this reply to you! I too have always liked Rick Stein and his TV stuff on seafood in particular.
One problem is though that the guy has gone too far in trying to capture the marketplace in Padstow. He seems to own an inordinate amount of places there, offering everything from fish and chips to fine dining. Piran will vouch for me here - the Cornish now refer to the town as 'Padstein'.

Know where your coming from lego matey. His sons also in on the act. I was brought up on seafood, obviously working on the quay. And uncles etc. Always got to bag of fish to take home end of day. So many restaurants etc overcook it. Yet so simple to get right.
