Mgw and elanga never in the game. Two big players. Again you can't keep relying on our defence, posted on how this would be a hard game. But you all knew it. It's games like these that the manager really has to step up. Don't get me wrong I think the players had there heads up there arses 1st half, my posts all week have been backing yates on what he brings. Today for me personally was that without thinking, spoil there midfield and keep there heads up as a true captain. From mgw. Where the fck he went clough knows. Good post Bowie, after the Exeter game I didn't think we would get anything from today. I'm not bothered about Europe, for one the tickets will be out of reach for ops like me, second look what it did for the bindippers. we can't afford to buy another shed load of players.

We came up against a good side Traore showed up Williams lack of pace for their first goal and Elanga on how to control the ball and run at pace. To be fair, Woods scored a great goal and it was the perfect pass from MGW that made it. Sels made some excellent saves to keep the score down.
Every team goes through a tough patch as I expect we are going to have with the matches coming up. Newcastle as they are our next opponents are in a similar state. Teams like Bournemouth are flying as are Everton in the lower half. I expect we will come out of it but worryingly Nuno didn’t appear to react to what was unfolding in front of him.

Give credit to the opposition. Had us sussed at every cross into our area, never won one aerial battle played on Morata.
Got an equaliser but kept Morata on. Right subs but 30 mins too late. Not sure how many mistakes a central defender has to make? Free headers for fun.

Question is though, should the cross have been allowed to come in. Our weakness was defending and not believing in going forward. I personally think teams are sussing our small percentage possession and going to make us pay.

We play better As a team with a flat back four as we don't stretch the opposition with three at the back in the main
I know it worked against Brighton but it's not worked otherwise
End of the day We are in a great place as a club.
