There's a very interesting piece on the BBC football website about Exeter City FC including its business model ( one of the few clubs owned by fans and living within their means, usually by selling on their Academy players. Ollie Watkins at Villa is a product for example. Well worth a read.
Also, I was curious as to why Exeter are nicknamed the Grecians ( in a Roman city). Apparently the parishioners of St Sidwells church in Southernhay a suburb of Exeter played the part of the Greek Army in a re enactment of the Siege of Troy in 1726. Google doesn't say who played the Trojans.
St Sidwells formed a church football team St Sidwells United who became Exeter in 1904.
It must have been quite a sight!

The old Roman castle and gardens are pretty cool, also has a beautiful view of Exeter prison lol.

I’ve not been to Exeter since I was 12 or 13 mate. I must have a re visit ( not including HMP Exeter ideally )

Some of the pubs/ bistros by the river are very nice and quite classy. That's about it for my relationship with Exeter.
