Yates had a poor game like many others yesterday, he’s the beating heart of the team and with the heart not beating we were poor.
His passion in MF is essential, get him back firing Nuno.

Yates looks comfortable playing Palace, Leicester and West Ham. Completely out of his depth yesterday, diving in giving free kicks away. They had far too much room in the middle of the park. Yates and Dominguez should of been told to hold their position and make us hard to break down. First time we've tried to go toe to toe with a good team and got found out.

Well, MV mate, apart from Liverpool, Chelsea and Brighton …. but I see what you mean.

Yates was back to his normal talentless self, charging around like a demented rhino, fouling everything that moved. He has nothing to offer in the skill stakes and if he thinks the spoiling, Forest till I die beating heart of the side cobblers is going to move us forward he's deluded. I just don't understand what anybody see I him. Championship quality at best. How you can leave Ward Prowse out for that headless chicken is beyond belief ?.

Not sure you do know what I mean Stokey. Them brilliant displays were with a solid compact shape with us dangerous on the counter. Yesterday we played an open game and got picked off.

Apologies MV mate, I didn’t read your post properly and I was being a bit dim. You are 100% right about being too open and being dragged into a toe to toe match. In fact I said as much to my mate that we weren’t tight and compact enough against e
Newcastle excellent and quick attacking players. They went through us like a knife through butter at will. I
I know that with hindsight you get 20/ 20 vision ( and far be it from me to criticise Nuno) but I said even at half time and one nil up we should have packed the midfield or even play 3 centre backs. I suppose it’s a no win situation for a coach. If he does go more defensive it’s a negative approach but I thought we should have spoiled and broken up the game a lot more, frustrated Newcastle ( like we did at Anfield) then nab a second goal on the counter. He did sub on the hour but still went into attack mode. I could see how it was going so why couldn’t Nuno?
