Agree MUNMAD a £40M+ top class striker would be the icing on the cake and would take us into Europe. We should sell Williams, Omabamadele, Danilo and Toffolo to pay for one and balance the books.

Always makes me laugh Jester, my friend, when people talk about selling players here and there for two million quid like they were second hand cars. It’s much more complicated than that. What if they don’t want to go? What if nobody wants them? What if the players decide “ you know what, I’ll be like Harry Arter, run down my extremely well paid contract then join another club for nowt a few years down the line “? Forest would be able to do Jack ?in that case ????.

Some players get forced out of their respective club, Stokey. Like Gallagher was forced out of Chelsea.

I hope I’m wrong too Jester mate. Polly, Gallagher wasn’t really forced out. He was told by his new manager Maresco that he wasn’t part of his plans so being young, ambitious and wanting to get selected by England he went after and got a better deal. Unlike, say, Harry Arter. I suspect O Brien and Dennis are on lucrative contracts with money for nothing and their chicks for free! Would you take a pay cut and agree to a move? I wouldn’t.

Fair enough Ed but it must have been mutually beneficial to player and club. My point is i'd train away from the first team ( if necessary I’d train with Cloughies famous Nottingham Pork Butchers X1 if I was getting my full wages). Obviously, it suited Gallagher and Chalobah to get first team footbal, get in the shop window and further their careers, particularly internationally so they must have gone along with a move to an extent. I don’t think this attitude would necessarily prevail with Dennis or O Brien, particularly Dennis.

If I was Gallagher I would've left at the end of the season for nothing. Chelsea forced them out for PSR purposes.

And on long contracts (7 or 8 years in some cases) to spread the cost and avoid breaching PSR. Dodgy but within the rules. I think.
