I'm happy to eat humble-pie. After my initial doubts about Nuno, thinking that he had been a 'flash in the pan' at Wolves - I now realise this guy is a revelation for our club.
I take my hat off to him for whittling-down a bloated and mostly below-average squad of players and forming a first team full of talent and belief for both each other and the club. But, for me, it goes deeper than that.
King Billy adopted a hard 'siege-mentality' at Forest. Whilst it didn't work and partly led to his downfall, I did admire him for it. I think Billy was just trying to galvanise a disjointed club. I also think Nuno is actually doing the same thing - but in a softer, more PR-friendly way.
Nuno is bucking the trend. Nearly all PL managers nowadays are obsessed with possession stats, pressing high, subs on at 60 mins and strictly-enforced formations. Nuno doesn't do that. He has taught us to sit back, keep calm, absorb the pressure and then strike with pace and precision when the opposition makes a mistake.
I love the fact that Nuno is leading a revolution at Forest of not conforming to the status-quo of the PL and also achieving great results in the process. Long may it continue! FTID.

'King' Billy is an odious poisoned dwarf. We shouldn't even have had him back after the first time let alone give him a 7 year contract after he won a couple of games.

But Nuno has been brilliant and he has silenced a lot of his critics.

There's an old saying Polly 'the right man at the right time'. Whilst I disagree with you somewhat about Billy, I think Nuno is the right man for us now. Let's embrace it!

Billy Davis wasn't all that he was cracked up to be, first of all he wanted to shut down the academy and second he had a massive chip on his shoulder about promotion to the prem, stemming from his derby days. I believe they still hold the record for least points in the prem. Not a particularly nice chap.

Excellent summary Lego and he's such a humble and lovely guy too
The man oozes class and as a former keeper, has transformed Sels into something special ?.

And usual, brilliant and perceptive analysis of Nuno Legless. I have to agree with you yet again mate! ????.

Billy certainly wasn’t perfect but you never hear one of his players slagging him off, apparently he was great to work for.
CARLO.

My post was about Nuno guys. I just wanted to also mention my thoughts that both Billy and Nuno are, perhaps, more intertwined in their philosophies about our club than we care to think about.
Lateral thinking Gents!

I also like Nuno's (generally) laid back attitude on the touch line. Although, for some fans it isn't good enough as they would prefer him to jump up and down and flap his arms like a petulant child who's just been refused a bar of chocolate.

I agree with you Polly. That's another example of how Nuno is bucking the trend in the PL. I can't stand all the 'theatrics' by coaches/ managers on the sidelines nowadays. It's pathetic.
