An excellent and highly professional performance yesterday against a mediocre West Ham side. The important thing was that at one nil up against 10 men ( the sending off was entirely correct despite what their manager half said) ) we didn't throw the kitchen sink at them, kept tight, kept the discipline and kept possession then just suffocated them playing our normal game. Like Leicester we were unlucky not to win by 4 or 5.
Enjoy the heady 3rd place comrades. I fancy us top half and possibly top 6 but we don't have the resources in depth to maintain this charge. It's the trade off between having a large squad of ( expensive) quality players like Man City, Chelsea. Arsenal, Spurs etc or a small, high quality, highly organised superbly motivated squad with great team spirit like ours. However, a few injuries and/ or suspensions to key players will test us. But let's enjoy the ride whilst it lasts.
We are starting to get noticed folks. and punching way way above our weight ?.

At this stage of the season its still get the points to survive 'so the first target is 30 + that should be enough incentive to keep fighting for every point then if we find our position is so good then go for it and then top 6 who knows but first safety.

Agreed Jester, but as Napoleon said ( a phrase later nicked and used by Lenin, Stalin and Kruschev) “On s’engage et Pulis on voit” “ You start something, then see what happens”…….
We’ve certainly started something, let’s see where it takes us.
I listened to Radio 5 Live Sport on the way to the WFCG ( I don’t usually because they usually spout inane rubbish and/ or propaganda) but a commentator said ( entirely accurately) that since promotion we have been a basket case but not any more….

I said yesterday that West Ham were relegation fodder, well on hindsight fodder was a little ott. Skaggs was right to say that they had talented players, and to a certain degree he was right. But ththe only player who stood out for me was bowden, the rest were disjointed and didn’t look like They were playing for the manager, just another example of we don’t want to play your way. Man Utd comes to mind.

Yes we're lucky we haven't been blessed with prima Donna millionaires in our team on 500 thousand a week you can see every player is giving there all and enjoying it smiles on everyone's face on and off field.
