STOP bellyaching about poor match officials Nuno and sort your team tactics out yes Fulham got a soft penalty but they were by far the better side and deserved the 3 pts
Awoniyi is short of both fitness and confidence
Dominguez Ward Prowse and Yates cannot play together as a midfield 3
4 wingers on the bench not one starting!
The list of inept team selections goes on
We have the defence sorted but the rest at home is a total shambles.
30 Sep 2024 12:10:43
Spot on munmad we hear the same thing every time we lose, it’s time for nuno to take responsibility and say he was wrong about his set up. I couldn’t believe how much room the Fulham wingers had while we were bunched up in midfield.
30 Sep 2024 13:00:22
This deflecting to ref and VAR decisions is just boring, after there penalty we had over 40 minutes to turn it around. Complaining about match officials is just a get out of jail card, for a poor performance.
30 Sep 2024 13:34:39
Every time we lose vale it's been once this season but I agree there's no excuses just go out and try and win game.
30 Sep 2024 14:57:06
At least we haven't Heard the fine margins routine yet but then with the defence playing better than last season it is fine margins that are changing the game at crucial times so maybe it will be used soon, next 3 games 6 points needed and do not lose to Fester.
30 Sep 2024 16:21:34
Munmad, most of your comments are fair enough mate but I don’t think Fulham were “much better than us” as you say. We were on a par and perhaps slightly better in terms of chances created ( think Anoniyis back flick and Woodys marginal offside. Sels had little to do except pick the ball out of the net from the penalty.
As I said earlier Fulham will finish solid middle of the table like us, barring injuries to key players. This was a team that beat Newcastle comfortably last week ( could have been 3 or 4 ). The same Newcastle that should have beat Man City on Saturday.
Go on then, I’ll say it ……. FINE MARGINS …. there we are it’s said and done ???.
30 Sep 2024 16:57:27
Fine margins was the bread man Jester. ??? another disaster ?.
30 Sep 2024 18:15:00
Brian Clough called it perfectly. "Sky and to much football on television will kill the game "
Gone regular 3.00pm kick offs. I had season ticket for 34 years you knew where you stood. Saturday was football day. Get the kids ready and down there before they start supporting Man U and Liverpool Now ya don't know if it's Friday, Saturday dinner Staturday night, Sunday, Monday? You'll go when they tell you to.
No thanks. Football in Skegness
1) 15 pack of Lager £10/ Forest 2 bottles
2) Get comfy in front of the 65" TV/ Forest Dodgy plastic seat and knees under you chin for 90mins
3) Wack the stick on with live chat all the live replays and camera angles and a clean toilet to use. / Forest a pig trough in a pee swimming pool.
4) Who's that at the door. Oh its my Special curry, Chow mein and Chips £10/ Forest manky pie or Sausage roll, Crisps, Mars bar meal deal.
5)Phew turn the heating down/ Forest Freezing ya nuts of all winter.
Ya welcome to it. You called it right Sir Brian. Never wrong ?.
30 Sep 2024 21:03:42
And that's why there is so much obesity around balloons
You got the perfect menu there.
30 Sep 2024 21:47:20
I didn’t think it was a penalty and I don’t think Fulham deserved to win. I also think it’s a sad indictment when the first thing many fans (not just us) do is look at who the officiating teams consist of as one of the key considerations as to how the game might pan out.
There is no doubt I’m at the extreme end, but if certain individuals are refereeing or on VAR I don’t see the point in attending the game. It shouldn’t really be something you even think about - let alone influence whether you attend or not.
30 Sep 2024 22:44:09
Penalty or not 2star we should be going into games and not worrying about how that will effect a result at the end of a game I do get bored with managers using var referees as a get out clause been like that for last 2 seasons because we haven't got goals in us to go on and win games by more than 2 goals so the little things in games turns into a lot bigger things I do miss the the good old billy Davies days where forest were on fire a lot.
30 Sep 2024 23:18:28
Could you imagine that jester losing to fester the site would go in meltdown definitely not going to happen though and yes I'm sure you will remind me peeps ??.
30 Sep 2024 23:00:28
I find your post quite depressing Balloons. However, I guess it all boils down to what we, as individuals, want/ expect out of life.
If you're happy with that boring, lazy and unhealthy lifestyle - fill your boots mate until your future heart attack. I see no point in mincing words about health issues nowadays after what I have been through myself.
Personally - I don't mind being cold, feeling hungry/ thirsty or paying through the nose for an experience that you will never discover sitting in your armchair at home. Stop complaining, get off your arse and join me in climbing a mountain. If I can do it with no lower legs, you can. It'll do you the world of good mentally and physically.
01 Oct 2024 04:44:35
Moaning about officiating standards? Without their 'perceived bias' against Forest, game finishes 0-0. One more point and still undefeated. Alas, we never had the fortune of at least one pitch side review. Regroup and go again. FTID.
01 Oct 2024 05:17:13
Ive spent more money and time watching and travelling all over Europe with Forest than you ever will Leggo. I just call it how I see it and how much bang for your buck you get in the modern game.
A Chinese meal once a week with the match doesn't make me unhealthy and lazy. You know nothing about me the rest of my week. And boring? That's rich coming from you who wants to crawl up a mountain, there's nothing there when you arrive, you just have to come down again Wow what an adrenaline rush that must be. ?.
01 Oct 2024 07:42:01
Then abandoned going to forest when the going got tough
Glory hunter who's become bitter and twisted about the club and wants to live inthe past
You can watch a pop concert for nothing on tv and save yourself 100 quid, but you don't get the atmosphere sat on a sofa drinking cheep larger and waiting for just eat to turn up.
01 Oct 2024 07:42:48
I love your posts Scouse, proper reality check of the whole situation. Honest appraisals and don't push the panic button attitude. Keep em coming mate ?. We used to get the same quality off Rutters but sadly he's left us for a short while ?.
01 Oct 2024 07:51:45
Balloons maybe legless got the adrenaline rush out of knowing his efforts help other people, and was for a charitable cause, just a thought,
01 Oct 2024 08:41:58
Hey balloons what drink is that. cheap larger I wouldn't mind trying some of that ??.
01 Oct 2024 09:08:46
Cheers balloons. I try to have a measured response. We're still work in progress, could be better, could be worse.
Home form is a concern, but away not so. More solid at the back, maybe not as potent up front. Just trying to get the balance right.
01 Oct 2024 09:29:04
Went up some big hills in the lakes the other week some stunning views then got on the bus and went back down, I did the walking years ago and wish I could. now so enjoy anything while you can walking going to a game or concert but the time will come when you can't so remember that sometimes it's not a choice.
01 Oct 2024 09:33:01
It's Heineken buddy. The world's best selling lager 5% an a beautiful drink but hey what does the world know ??.
01 Oct 2024 11:03:18
Red jester you said it’s not always a matter of choice, balloon's has said it is his choice not to go to the cg, and to sit all afternoon with a 15 pack of lagers, and awaiting his Chinese, again his Choice, personally I’m pleased I get off my backside and brave the elements and meet people at the match, his choice sounds like a recipe for a stroke, I’m 67 not as fit as when I was young, because in my 20s I was as fit as a pro footballer, and don’t carry any fat now, despite being over 16 stone, I walk a minimum of 3 miles a day sometimes more, , I would pick my choice, over his any day, legless is to be commended for his effort given his circumstances, not ridiculed, I can only imagine how hard it was for him to do,
01 Oct 2024 11:23:23
Well it’s all kicking off again, one dodgy post is all it takes. I don’t think it’s appropriate to criticise legless, he’s just trying to bring attention to forgotten veterans, and there’s nothing wrong in that. I for one don’t agree with our politicians sticking their noses into other countries wars but it seems ever prime minister has to have a war on their watch. Just a shame they can’t go and have a go themselves instead of sending our young people to be torn apart. You keep it going legless and shame on the others.
01 Oct 2024 12:00:11
He who cast the first stone vale. Read the posts back and Stevie I'm 70, 6'1 and 12st 7Ib. Fit as a fiddle. I'd race you round the block for a tenner anyday mate ?
It seems strange on matchday I have a few beers and a Curry and you meet up with ya mates and have a few beers and a fry up. Hypocritical I think. It what you do with the other 6 days that count. ?.
01 Oct 2024 12:14:36
Balloons ?, agree about the cost of watching football, I thought years ago it would implode with players wages, cost of getting in, but it hasn't, attendances are going up and waiting lists for tickets at most teams. Having a newspaper round to get money, to get in the ground won't cut it now days.
As for people like LeglessRed, Captain Tom (not his family) they inspire people, there's to much crap around so when something good or positive happens, enjoy it.
01 Oct 2024 12:24:28
I'm 70 6-1 built like a brick shithouse but my lungs are full of coal dust and passive smoking never smoked myself liked a drink not any more my ticker is f*****. was fit as a fiddle 5 yrs ago played sport at a good level all my life, did sponsored runs etc for local clubs and good concerns and so on would never diss anyone who does the same but time catches up with you.
not moaning it's ok but you will slow down and a bad time will come so enjoy while you can you bunch of moaners ???? said too much sod off the lot of you!
01 Oct 2024 12:25:37
Balloons you may as well give me that tenner now, and if you want to throw a few obstacles on the course all the better, Saturday I had 2 pints., no fry up, don’t do them very often, 6’ 3 16 stone, have been fit all my life, never over done alcohol, eat well, , you went over the top having a go at legless charity effort. Didn’t look very good,
01 Oct 2024 12:47:35
I’m not knocking you balloons, you live your life the way you see fit but don’t try to put others down for doing what they want. We used to live in a democracy I’d like to see us be able to get that back. Anyway you forgot to cost in the trip from where you live to Nottingham in your comparison post.
01 Oct 2024 13:48:57
Lads read your posts back Lego said I live a boring and unhealthy life style and I am going to have a heart attack. The guy don't even know me or what I do daily yet chooses to throw the first insult.
Anyway boys for the sake of the Eds I'm not going to get into insult tennis again like the weekend. They don't need it and quite frankly neither do I. See you on live chat if you want to talk football ?.
01 Oct 2024 12:47:51
No please let's not start the whole war soldier posts up again reminds me of a episode of only fools and horses uncle Albert ?.
01 Oct 2024 12:16:50
My 7 days consist of smoking and drinking as much as I can whilst I can enjoy it. I'm sure it will catch up with me sooner or later but that's my choice and i God damn enjoy every minute of it ?.
01 Oct 2024 14:42:37
Balloons first off I’m sure Legless can speak for himself, 2nd, I don’t think I’ve insulted anyone, only compared lifestyles, mate I’m someone who believes in freedom of personal choice and expression. and skegs if you enjoy what you’re doing fair play to you, don’t know who’s talking about 'war' stories, but certainly not me.
I swap those anecdotes for when I meet up with old comrades, and not with people like you who wouldn’t have a clue, nor would I expect you to have, but I thought balloons insult to legless was plain wrong. he put his heart and soul into an enterprise for a good cause, no doubt resulting in No little discomfort, and don’t think he needs insulting for it.
01 Oct 2024 15:15:26
Says balloons who knows more about me than I do. Seems you're OK dishing it out but don't like it one bit when you're on the receiving end. And balloons and talking football isn't words 8d put together.
01 Oct 2024 17:41:15
Balloons - I'm no 'shrinking violet' but I must admit I found your reply quite shocking. I didn't deserve that low-blow about my efforts to raise money to help improve the lives of the less fortunate in our society. You think about that.
You obviously found my post a bit 'boisterous'. However, I make no apology for my strong opinions on people who live an unhealthy lifestyle and subsequently suffer serious health conditions including heart attacks - all of which I did. I just want people to learn from my mistakes.
Thank you to everyone who posted messages of support.
01 Oct 2024 18:53:10
Skegs - I do love your attitude mate but please take it easy on yourself! I'm only allowed to drink 2 glasses of wine nowadays at the weekend as I've only just managed to reach the dizzy-heights of 50% kidney function after the sepsis. Pace yourself on the booze Skegs! As for smoking - I'm guilty as charged I'm afraid, the same as you.
01 Oct 2024 18:59:07
Stevie, vale mentioned veterans. I thought we was going to end up with comments about war and soldiers. wouldn't be the first time and hello dtp you been in the garden again talking to your pansies?
on a serious note let's get back to football talk, I think the fester game will be coopers last when we beat them. it's just perfect, sacked twice by forest ?????.
01 Oct 2024 19:19:18
Lego, You know nothing about me or my lifestyle mate So don't assume I'll be having a heart attack any time soon. My life is quote Neither boring lazy or unhealthy buddy. So have a pop at me and I'll have one back. Give us a post when you make 70 because I'll still be around. Thanks but I don't need any lessons from your mistakes thanks again ?.
01 Oct 2024 20:06:27
. and that's how they caught Jaws.
01 Oct 2024 20:08:36
Balloons thanks for the warning mate, I’m sure we’re all suitably terrified, so can we draw a line under it now? ?.
01 Oct 2024 20:58:02
Fair enough Balloons, I've obviously hit a raw nerve with you on this subject. I wasn't having a pop at you at all. However, your post about my fundraising events for charity was a disgrace.
You should be hanging your head in shame if you have any goodness left in your heart. I'll comment no more.
01 Oct 2024 22:14:53
Legless, balloons obviously has a problem understanding the English language and how it can be misread. All you were saying was that not a good alternative to going to a match and getting some exercise on the way.
What you did for charity and for your own wellbeing was a fantastic feat and gives you even more goals to aim at on a personal level and if you can raise cash along the way for charity, then fantastic.
Take no notice of balloons, just an attention seeker who thinks he's funny all the time. Not too good when something doesn't agree with his agenda though. You carry on legless, calling you lego says it all about balloons.
