Have seen some people laughing about the thought of a relegation battle, not quite sure why people don't understand that every season is a relegation battle for clubs like ours in this league.

We were set up to fail today all the pace and threat on the Bench, 3 wingers no jota, surely the way to go was start with CHO, play jota where MGW was, instead we had a bizarre selection of a clearly unfit Awonyi up front, with wood, result was we got forward at the speed of an over 40s Sunday morning team.

Plain fact is as I pointed out in the middle of the week, we had the bonus win at Anfield, as we got at Stamford bridge this time last season, and have other than that only beat the worst team in the league by the odd goal, and haven't beat anyone else, including 2nd bottom wolves at home.

This coach can't stop meddling, he got it right at Anfield, but nowhere else, I doubt anyone would have picked the line up he picked today, and we simply don't look like scoring enough goals,

Good post Stevie it was lucky nuno got a lucky win at anfield mate it's definitely a shame we have Chelsea next who are bang in form but no matter what team or result against a good Chelsea side that I rate to win the league in sure nuno will get his tactics wrong or maybe he will wear the wrong clothes for the game who knows but if we lose in sure it will be his fault mate but guess what a great owner in sure if he's wearing the wrong attire he will be sacked anyway who knows we beat Liverpool at anfield and if we beat Chelsea then what Chelsea had a bad day ??.

Spot on.

Skegs, please stop replying to what you think I wrote, , I didn’t say it was a lucky win at Anfield, I said a ‘ bonus win’ any one who says they expected 3 points at anfield is a liar, it’s a bonus, just as last season win at Stamford bridge was, , he got his team spot on at Liverpool, then meddled at Brighton, and had to completely change it at halftime, completely changed it yesterday, and again had to totally re jig it at half time, then went into panic mode when we went behind, kept throwing players on, losing all semblance of a team shape, he’s a serial meddler, and it cost us dearly yesterday, in a game that was a winnable one for us, so we’ve now got 2 points out of 9 at home versus wolves, Bournemouth, and Fulham, 3 of our mini league rivals, last season yielded twice as many against the same opponents, anyone who think marinakis will be happy with that is very optimistic.

Twice as many makes it sound big Stevie but when your comparing it to 2 points it only makes 4.
We got nothing at Liverpool and Brighton last season so we got 4 times the points we did last season against the same opponents.
Swings and roundabouts my friend.

Fred those bonus points at anfield mean nothing without being backed up by winning against average prem teams at home, I believe we will be in another relegation battle, last home win was in March, marinakis will be short on patience given his investment.

Of course they mean something!
I'd sooner beat Liverpool and lose to Fulham every time. Far better feel good factor than the other way round.
It would be great to beat both but people need to temper their expectations of where we are.
We have no divine right to beat Fulham, Bournemouth and Wolves at home.

29 Sep 2024 09:23:35
Fred beating Liverpool at anfield still only counts as 3 points, I don’t know if you noticed, that feel good factor disappeared yesterday, at about 5 o’clock inside the city ground, , if we don’t start winning games at home against teams the like of fulham and wolves etc, we will be in another dog fight for survival, we will not pick up enough points on the road to make up for a poor home record in this league, we are not good enough to do that.

29 Sep 2024 09:44:15
As long as we pick up enough points I couldn't give a damn where they come from.
I get it that the vast majority of fans are bemoaning a lack of home wins but it's irrelevant in the bigger picture.
At least the away fans are happy for now having witnessed 4 wins and a draw in the last 5 away fixtures and yet it was they that felt hard done by previously given our abysmal away form.

29 Sep 2024 10:02:55
Fred home form is essential to survival in this league only the elite teams win regularly away, if our home form doesn’t improve we will get relegated, it’s as simple as that,

29 Sep 2024 10:50maranakis will be short of patience and will want results if it doesn't happen nuno will be gone so why don't you leave it to the big man and just chill and enjoy life mate being angry all the time will do you no good.

29 Sep 2024 10:24:46
If we weren't picking up points away the home form would be a massive concern.
We are though so for now it isn't.
Everyone's going on like we got thrashed yesterday. We got done by a 50/ 50 pen decision and had by far the best chances in the game.
Yes strange line up but on another day we could easilly have won that game.
Who's to say if Jota started or Anderson played through the middle we'd have won? It's pure speculation and trying to be wise after the event.
The fact is there are a section of posters on here that don't like Nuno and never will and still believe he isn't an upgrade on the last coach which is absurd beyond words.

29 Sep 2024 11:45:04
Red Fred teams like us will not pick up enough points on the road to keep us up, that’s a fact look back at the last 10 years of the prem,

29 Sep 2024 12:03:21
Like I say, not a concern at the moment whilst we're sitting comfortably in mid table.

29 Sep 2024 14:15:43
Red Fred than can change in a matter of a couple of weeks,

29 Sep 2024 17:34:51
So can the home form.
