Proper men back then, I’ve a signed photo of my old friend Dave McKay where he’s got billy bremner lifted off the pitch by his neck. What a lot of people don’t know is that was the first game for Dave after he had broken his leg, and bremner knew it. Dirty so and so.

It’s virtually impossible to make that tackle without touching the man but unless you deliberately set out to maim him to me it’s a good tackle provided you get the ball.
