Villa's cheapest seat for champions league games are £84, the majority are £97. The football world has gone bonkers.
04 Sep 2024 23:26:34
12 pound for a crate of beer a recliner a free firestick a great view nice and warm nobody in front of me and at that price 2 nights out wetherspoons as well I don't feel so bonkers now ?.
04 Sep 2024 23:33:22
Not a problem as I won't be buying a ticket or get the chance to and lots of villa fans will want tickets but won't get one
It's 40 odd quid to watch forest not win mate
It's take it or leave it?
04 Sep 2024 23:35:53
Good luck with that one ?.
04 Sep 2024 23:44:31
Utter madness MV.
I pay for my season ticket and nothing else. Everything else is a rip off but Villa are just taking advantage of genuine supporters. Hope they go out at the group stage. Serve the greedy sods right.
05 Sep 2024 00:10:46
It's no rip. off it's what you pay to watch the best
£120 to watch oasis in a years time?
You pay or leave it alone?
05 Sep 2024 04:04:11
???? That's funny skegs but so true ? ?.
05 Sep 2024 08:17:53
Mind-blowing MV! I made the choice a few years back. I could spend a fortune watching Forest or I can spend that money on my son in other ways. Even he wants to go to the game until I tell him what else we can spend the same money on.
Really sad. I remember going to watch Forest standing up in the Trent End for next to nothing as a kid. They were the days when a big loyal fan-base was build.
05 Sep 2024 09:05:44
It will prove to Villa if theirs a market for overcharging there supporters, with what the attendance is. The supporters can show their not pleased, by not going!.
05 Sep 2024 09:12:36
Spot on cyclist. Spend it on your son mate. They are soon grown up and gone. Good old days buddy, queueing up at 1.00pm with ya mates, if you got there at 1.30 you probably wouldn't get in. Opposing fans chanting songs at each other for a hour and half before kick off and not being drowned out by some cheap distorting P. A system playing crap records.
And people question why I don't go anymore. It's just a money making racket buddy. ?.
05 Sep 2024 09:35:03
Exactly balloons. If only we could take some of the youngsters back and give them an experience like that, rather than effectively strapping them into a cheap plastic chair and wondering why the cheap pie cost more than a meal in Wetherspoons!
05 Sep 2024 10:18:55
You can that about all sport being more expensive balloons, very little sport you can attend professionally on the cheap
Football became more expensive when it was deemed unsafe to stand anymore thus taking at least 10k fans away from attending
Like I say if you disect everything and compare it to the past it will always if been cheaper back in the day, but also we earned far less.
05 Sep 2024 10:22:05
Cyclist ???? Spot on buddy. Notice how they make sure they've got nice comfy recaro seats to sit on. And don't start me off on pies?
It's always the cheap one to make the most profit. You can't get all steak, it crapo mince and potato or some excuse for a balti ?
My favourite was Liverpool away Anfield chippy. Jumbo sausage and Chips 50p in the Frank Clark era ??.
05 Sep 2024 10:32:06
We love wetherspoons ?.
05 Sep 2024 13:47:36
If they loved the fans they'd rent space to Wetherspoons to sell the food and beer to fans.
05 Sep 2024 15:39:18
TBI is across the road from the ground and it's a witherspoons so eat and drink in there?
Simples.
05 Sep 2024 15:47:58
What a day out that would be Cyclist
? Sod the match hey ??.
05 Sep 2024 16:08:10
I'm just in awe of skegs, getting a crate of beer, a firestick, and recliner for 12 quid. Black friday come early in skegs ?.
05 Sep 2024 16:32:36
All from dhgate Bowie ??.
05 Sep 2024 17:07:38
It's a cardboard box that tips up when he sits on it ??.
05 Sep 2024 18:22:32
I’ve never understood this moaning about prices for non essential items like football and tickets for gigs, football shirts etc, , if you don’t like prices vote with your feet and don’t pay them,
05 Sep 2024 19:35:13
We are Stevie. It used to be OUR CLUB. It's a toy for rich people, so is the TV coverage. I'm not paying when I have a kid I can spend it on. Can't be a plainer way of voting than that.
05 Sep 2024 19:50:20
No need to explain cyclist to anyone but 100 percent agree with you not very often that will happen but good on you.
05 Sep 2024 20:06:34
We wouldn't have a club if marinakis hadn't bought it, we have to be grateful he's ploughing his millions into his toy, we came close to another stint in league one not so long back
When your in the premier you have to pay premier prices end of
It cost me £26 a game and I think that's great value from a prime seat
Marinakis did his bit inially to get fans to pack the ground with £40 season cards for kids, £99 ones for under 21 but that was never going to be forever, I don't buy shirts and any other stuff and only have a pint at half time as I drink outside the ground, so it's what you make of it.
05 Sep 2024 20:08:40
Cyclist mate I think we’ve just got to get used to the rich man’s toy thing, it’s here to stay, the alternative is obviously to follow local non league.
05 Sep 2024 23:15:37
Spot on stevie.
07 Sep 2024 11:26:14
You can love Capitalist nonsense as much as you like, but it has its place and turning things like entire sports into toys for the wealthy is never going to make things better. FACT!
