It's great to see new people come onto this site - there seems to have been a few recently which is brilliant. I've learnt that all points of view are appreciated here by most members!
However, just a gentle reminder to the 'newbies' (as referred-to on here) to learn from my mistake when I first joined. I took the michael out of Bowie before he or anyone else understood my dry SOH. I didn't mean any harm by it, but Bowie quite rightly jumped down my throat boots-first!
All I'm advising the new joiners is to be mindful and sensitive to the fact that there are a lot of people who have been contributors on this forum for many years. I've learned that "it ain't what you say, it's the way that you say it".
No names, no pack-drills - just my best advice as a relative-newbie myself!

Opinions, "Banter", that's what makes this site, we all have different views on team selection, tactics, cost of pies?, and if decussions become a bit feisty, all the better!. And if there's lurkers viewing before posting, they will realise you can't be to sensitive.

I reckon some of these ‘ new ‘ posters are old ones with new names,

I totally agree with you Vespa - the feistier the better for me too! But - not for everyone.
All I'm suggesting is that posters should be mindful of this fact before pressing 'reply'. I don't like reading about anyone, 'veteran' or 'newbie', feeling the need to leave this site due to what they perceive as personal attacks.

LeglessRed, when I wrote "feisty" it was concerning football, team selection, tactics, but there's also posts on religion, politics, females, homosexuals all red flags for conflict of posting without your own personal filter, if to argumentive, the Edd's won't post, (I've been ticked off by the Edd's for one of my posts under a different username). I don't think anyone would post to upset anyone on here on purpose, but if we all agreed that would be boring, and may as well call the site Mumsnet, and post about the best lotion to put on cracked nipples when brest feeding?. Good job there's no women posters?.
