Some of you may know that I'm a big fan of non league football. I played at that level. Today I was in a crowd of almost 700 at Emley FC v Brighouse in the Northern premier league. Emley 1-0 up after 20 minutes. 10 minutes later Brighouse keeper gets seriously injured. Match suspended.
It took an ambulance almost 90 mins to attend. Poor keeper lying on the grass covered by blankets. Match abandoned. Don't you just love the NHS.

I hear what you're saying Gazz and it is very frustrating. But, we have to remember how overstretched these guys are.
I'll never slag off the NHS, despite how imperfect they are. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be writing this now.

Very good point Legless. This poor goalie was obviously in a lot of pain and couldn't be moved. I thought help would arrive a lot faster.

Controversial but if we weren't 'importing the world's problems', then maybe the National health service might be able to treat the people it was devised for.

The Tories had 14 years to sort it out. The poor lad was lucky to “only” have to wait 90 minutes mate! ?.
