Well, I watched the first game with a feeling of hope and excitement for the season ahead. and promptly lost that! First off, the good stuff.
- Sangarè that we all wanted when he came to Forest has finally turned up. Played some best passes and looks like a brand new player compared to last season.
- Woody carrying on where he left off last term.
Sadly, the rest of it for me was very much 'as you were', from last season. :
- defending issues. Virtually every time the ball came into the area we seemed to panic.
- sloppy passing (MGW)
- Yatesy fouling for the heck of it (like last year)
- giving away needless free kicks in silly areas
- we seemed to sit back for a period of about 25 minutes or so.
- Toff is pretty much not Prem standard on that showing, awful defending for their goal
- awful sobs. Takes of Elanga and CHO and does. It replace the positions they filled.
Bournemouth didn't even have a recognised striker on the pitch, yet we were lucky not to have lost that game.
Yeah, ok, it's the first game of the season, but already getting that 'oh heck, here we go again' feeling. Hope I'm wrong, but unless we buck our ideas up, we are in for another very bumpy ride.
Commentator was saying that we won't smash anyone in the league (bit rude). but I think he may be right.

Sangare? Sorry chim I’m just not seeing it, how he starts ahead of Yates yesterday is beyond me.

Full of optimism for the season before kick off, then realities bite. Good we did not lose, but still have a problem progressing or hanging on to leads, and when the opposition coach alters there tactics we stick rigid to what we keep doing. It's the first game I'm sure we will improve for Southampton game, they look a decent team and will be licking there lips at playing us. One bit of luck we had yesterday, Bournemouth selled Solanke.

I'm quite sure that Semenyo is a striker. I might be wrong but I've always known him as one.

. and Southampton will not be looking forward to our pace on the flanks either.

Agree with most of what you say Chimaera but have to disagree on Sangare - no energy, no control of the midfield, didn't win a header, no attempts on goal, too slow, etc. - simply not enough from a £30M+ player?

Pollyard: going on what the commentator was saying as the teams lined up in the tunnel.

First 60 mins played some good attacking football and the understanding that elanga Hudson Wood and mgw have and some of the movement from those four is excellent, bad enough to take one off but three?
Just a case of trying to shut up shop from nuno and keep what we had
When you have goalkeeper like sels dancing along his line with positional sense then it's nigh on impossible to keep a lean sheet.

Agree, terrible subs DTP. I still don't get your vendetta against Sels though. I thought he was solid.
