For me a good indicator of the feeling around a club, manager, players ect is the atmosphere in the ground. Now I watched on my dodgy app but couldn't really tell if the atmosphere was really good as it did appear you could hear a pin drop at times. If this is true that's not good for the first match of the season. Now we all know under Cooper mostly it was a carnival atmosphere, appears.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seeing Yeatsy having too hipe the crowd up, must tell us something,

Cig a lot of the fact of quiet periods in the ground was due to the fact the crowd were nervous and edgy, waiting for the almost inevitable equalizer, it was a scrappy game, Danillo s serious injury must have had an effect, these are human beings not robots, you could see the effect it had on MGW and Murillo both visibly shaken, let’s hope the manager learns and we move on,

OK Stevie I get that but barring that, what about before the game was the mood good do fans believe in a good season or do most think we will be scrapping. What about the feeling regarding Nuno, will he come good or do most feel he has a matter of a handful of games to convince. And yes one of their colleagues and friend was seriously injured so it was bound to affect them but as for the fans. Well I think it would have been sickening to see and would have shocked most for a while, but then if all is well at your club you quickly let it inspire you to sing and shout and louder even if it is just for the injured player, let him know your thoughts are with him.

The atmosphere created under SC grew organically, I think after Lyle Taylor scored them two goals at Bristol City, it just grew and grew which unfortunately you can't bottle. Likewise SC won't have the same relationship with the fester supporters, that's for sure.

Cig I think most I spoke to look at it as a clean slate for nuno. But I’ve yet to speak to anyone who is totally convinced by him, , but time will tell, I thought yesterdays game was low quality for a prem match, and. I also thought Bournemouth looked fitter than us 2nd half,

We did seem lacking in the fitness department but it was the same last season.
Aina and Murillo always look like they've ran a marathon after an hour and to some extent so does Williams.
In Aina and Murillo's case they are both big units but you expect better from professional athletes.

@Fred, to be fair to Williams, playing wing back you do actually pretty much run a marathon. It's a tiring position to play (I've tried it).

He's not playing wingback though as we play a flat back four.

I thought modern full backs played effectively as wing-backs? They are expected to get all the way up and down the flank.

I just had a Google and apparently MFs run more miles. It definitely didn't feel like it when I was playing. Maybe a different type of running, when you're playing in MF you sprint less often? TBH it was probably what age I was when I played on the flank ?.
