It seems like the Premier League have started to listen to the fans about something I've been banging on about on here for ages, namely marginal decisions on offsides. As I'm recommended they are going along with the cricket " umpires call" scenario so we should no longer be spending 2 or 3 minutes deciding if a players left knacker is offside or not.
Also SAOT i ( Semi Automatic Offside Technology) is coming in probably in October. Again should save time and the notorious lines having to be drawn across the pitch by the VAR buffoons.
Generally, leaving it to the onfield ref with VAR only becoming involved if there is a clear and obvious error ( as in cricket).
I'd still like to see onfield captains having 10 seconds to review big decisions goals or pens again as in cricket, with 3 per game maximum.
Also, VAR to check second yellows to prevent the Boly type error last season.
But we mustn't be too greedy with having too much common sense eh?

Do you really think anything will change stokey?
I doubt it very much as our interpretation is different to anything else in the world
Interesting that a game in Norway was abandoned over fans protesting about var
Let's wlbe honest?
Fans don't want it full stop?
So let fans decide?
We've had forth officials that do nothing
We've had goaline
officials
We've had goalie technologies
Question is?
Do we want any of them?
I'd say no we don't.

Interesting questions DTP.
I guess we have to use the technology as best we can to reduce human error, especially with so much money at stake. The game is so much faster now and the players coached to cheat so I think the human eye and brain needs help at the too level.
I think the comparative slickness and efficiency of Officials at the Euros has embarrassed the Prem into certain reforms. In fact the only time it really went wrong at the Euros was when the English officials ( the usual suspects) were in charge.
A few stats….
Apparently VAR looked at over 1300 incidents
Interventions were 140 over the season, 105 correct and 35 wrong. Now I don’t know about you mate but if I’d got 25% of my decisions wrong in the Police I’d be out on my arse, labelled the worse cop in the Force…
The average viewing time per VAR review was 64 seconds, up from 40 seconds the season before.
VAR cancels out 1 goal in 25.
The Prem says 4 out of 5 fans want to keep VAR, the Supporters says exactly the opposite, with the vast majority want to end it.
I guess there’s lies, damned lies and statistics
By the way, Vespa, Howard Webbs crew at PGMOL are now going to publish VAR findings on social media in real time ( but excluding the verbals).
They are also going to publish the reasoning behind the appointments of match officials after Forest s protests about Luton town fan Stuart Atwell doing Everton v Forest debacle.
So mate, we might get a commendation for bringing to the Prems attention rather than disciplinary proceedings ( and I see pigs on the runway all ready for take off! ) ??????.

I just want anyone who brings honesty to the game. Yup were fkd.

It doesn't take a genius three or four minutes to work out if its 9fside?
Fans don't want it and we need to tell the football authorities
All it does is spoil the game.

I can see a VAR bedsheets coming on 79 ??.

16 Aug 2024 05:30:21
Another bedsheet with lots of useless stains on it.

16 Aug 2024 11:16:02
Hughton was gone the next day
And we are playing in the premier and not league one.

16 Aug 2024 12:37:02
Yep that's one powerful bed sheet.
It rules the club harder than Cloughy did ??.
