Rogie, mate, I was at Limone on Lake Garda the year before last. Lovely bit of the world. The boat ride across to Melcesine and the town itself is wonderful.
They filmed a Bond car chase through the tunnels of the Limone coast road and used 6 cars, one of which ended up in the Lake. Nobody was hurt but after the circus left town a local businessman raised it, restored it and sold it for some astronomical sum!
Have a great time. I have worn my Reds shirt with pride there ?.

We drove through those tunnels on a crumble ralley Guildford to Rome for a mates 40th a few years back with about 7 cars, awesome place.
Italian driving, hilarious, it was so bad, we didn't care about our cars as we were leaving them at a local scrappy in Rome and flew home.

The Italians have a completely different mindset as regards driving Ginger. In this country and others like France and Germany if you sound your horn it’s meant aggressively as in “Get out of my way ?”.
In Italy it means “Hi I’m Luigi just watch me overtake on this blind bend. Wish me luck! ?? “.

One of the things I like about most aboutLake Garda are the terrific thunderstorms after a hot day. Last about an hour but a tremendous sight with the lightning over the water from the surrounding mountains. Quite Gothic!
As far as driving abroad the most law abiding place I’ve driven in was New England. They slow down to 10mph outside Schools whether they are open or not and you get a hard stare if you don’t!
