Just wanted to ask you all a question, how many of you believe as I do that at this moment in time Forest have a weaker midfield and forward's than we had last year know ball players as of yet, no pace on either flank and no hold up play from the front man and while I'm going on NOT MOANING stating a fact, we mist Spencer's attacking, Johnson especially. we've spent a lot of money bringing in these players and I do understand we've bought a new team but wouldn't it perhaps have been better to pay the money for Davis unless it's his injury doubt, offer MU the money for Garner that they wouldn't turn down , and if we are still considering paying silly money for MGW, why not have offered Spence more in wage's to make him think twice about going to spur's. We clearly need some players with the knowledge of the English league even if it's only the championship, and just to upset some of your, we even mist zinc at least him and Spence ran at people and put them under pressure, we looked a far better team against, arsenal, Leicester, and Liverpool last season than we did against Newcastle . I understand that its also early days the team has to gel, but if we can't get the players in to do these jobs well, then I believe we will see more games like Saturdays game. I've stated my views give me yours, I'll no doubt get some stick over this but ain't this what this site is all about ?.

We’ve just got to be patient 12 new players over last 6 weeks have been signed and I’m sure there’s at least 2/ 3 more to come. After 4/ 5 more games we’ve gelled
We will be much more of a force. These next 2/ 3 signings need to be midfielder and forwards.
I’d forget mgw. The £40m plus would be better spent on proven quality.

Spot on! It was always going to be difficult given the make up of the squad. We need some more quality players and give them time to gel. (think Brentford)
Don't get suckered in to paying astronomical fees for untried players.
I believe we will be alright though ??.

Garner just doesn't want to leave utd and spence only wanted to go to spurs he's a London lad and his family are there, not always about money, they offer European football aswell so there was never any chance of getting either
The reason we have no one to carry the ball at pace in midfield is that we seem determined to get gibbs white but give lingard time to get matchfit and you will see a different outcome
Think we would all like to Davis return permanently, but villa don't want him and they want 15 million now after his performances for us last season, which to me is too much.
Zincanagel wouldn't be strong enough nor fit enough for the Premier hence Watford selling him for next to nothing.
And no flak from me mate as your debating our tactical shortcomings as things stand at the moment.
Good honest post mate that does not slate some of the new signings after just one game.

DT - 100% agree with your comments and I have voiced the same on this site .
Spence vs Williams I knew we would seriously miss more than any other player . He gave energy and a forward drive to our team - every match. I would have paid a club record for his services . Williams is good but not in the same league . Spence was exceptional
Zinc vs Linguard. Zinc’s forward drive we seriously missed on Saturday . It’s not fair however to judge Jesse but well below Zinc on Saturdays outing
Garner vs Mangala . Garner only 21,but has significant potential . Mangala not fair to assess on a 15 min outing but did not impress in anyway
Davis vs Ainowyu - no comparison as like comparing chalk and cheese
Samba vs Henderson . Samba was went from a zero to a hero and I believe would have transitioned into the premiership. Henderson would be playing for Man U if good enough . My Blades friend didn’t rate him
Fig vs Nia - is the new centre back significantly better than Fig, Cook or Soh

What is all this saying? Would 80 M have bought us Spence, Garner, Zinc and Davies . I would have hoped so

Colback under SC has been a revelation . On Saturday he put in one of his best ever performances as a Red.
Who is going to or deserves to move out of midfield to make way for Mangala / Linguard - Yates or Colback
I know as with DT, this is a negative post . However we are all entitled to our opinion
These new players on Sunday need to pull their socks up and show us why they were bought. As in the end if we keep on loosing - the manager is held responsible.
To loose SC would be the worst outcome possible
One swallow doesn’t make a summer . So we could dismiss Saturday . However this match was preceded by 6 preseason matches where the warning signs were evident. Of course the side has to gel but you cannot buy team spirit.

The disappointment for me 79 is that we haven’t replaced these vital players like for like only better if you get what I mean, they were the players that made us tick last season, if there not replaced the whole style of the team may have to change, and I didn’t want that, but ayho ?.

Garner needs a reality check, he'll never play foe Man Utd.
Spence a London lad, is family are there so is his bench to sit on.
We know how to use Davies, we ain't got anybody who can hold the ball up like him. Great feet too. Keep him there Gerrard and keep stumping up his wages you'll never play him.
We'll give you whst he's worth 5 mill.
Zinc smashing lad . Blows hot and cold. only goid for 60 mins.

Agreed, we could do with more attack minded players, we have plenty of midfielders to put in a shift, however pace makes a huge difference, it got us to where we are now, forget about MGW. we need players with pace, don't ask me to name any as I'm on my 4th glass of wine!
???????.

If we survive in the Premiership next season expect more quality, but for now need to bring in the player's to keep us in the game getting the player's to want to come is the biggest task don't believe the paper's etc they are making you panic unnecessary BE CALM!

I don't see the hype surrounding Davies?
He is a great Championship player but not premiership quality.
For any Championship team who get promoted it's very difficult to obtain the right player's.
I say this because the odds are against you staying in the premier League and the player's you need are out of reach cost wise.
Another pitfall of promotion is convincing potential player's to buy into the Club's ethos.

It's pretty impossible to replace like for like.
What we are doing chasing a player and being held to ransom.
We aren't going to buy another in that mould when it's looking like he's going to cost us 40 million
The lad has refused new terns so is obviously interested to come and work with Cooper again.
Wolves just trying to get ad much as possible.
What you do have to look at us that in the championship Cooper relied on a nucleus of 17 players and 5 were loans.
That's not possible in Premier it's no longer pick your best eleven, it's a 25 man squad game and we are still short of having that.
I've always been against mass signings because of karanhas failure in that department, but this was a no choice situation with the loans going back and grabban and figs contracts ending and samba unhappy and lolley clearly not fit, we were unable to put an eleven out.
Only time will tell who will turn out to be good signings but the one thing you have to applaud is we aren't signing 30 year old plus journey men anymore on stupid wages like arter who has had a pay rise for playing no part in our promotion.
