Last season in the championship after 6 games we were a million miles off the standard to mount a top six finish. I was on here as well as every single one of you saying a relegation battle was now on!

8 months later we were the best team in that division. Believe in cooper to get it right. This was a poor performance today, but with the nerves, adrenaline and euphoria out the way we will start to play our game and become more acclimatised to this league. I couldn’t care what players we have, cooper will sort it. I nor anybody else supporting Forest knew what was going to happen today. It’s new to us all. But we’ll learn and sometimes the hard way. Just enjoy the ride.

Excellent post mate
Not a time to pick on signings and just get behind the team and copper.
We didn't have the players or the infustrurcture for the Premier when Cooper arrived but he got us there
We've spent 80 million so far on 12 players?
Chelsea have spent 500 million in the past five seasons on strikers that have failed.
That's the league we have joined and all we can do is be sensible in the transfer market and if we don't stay up we have a very good young squad to go straight back up.
We had five loans that were the backbone of our team along with Worrall mckenna colback yates surrige and Johnson
It was always a massive building job and think we've done OK on that budget.

Good post keenred……it’s going to take time it’s virtually a new team/ squad, I feared what would happen today and it did, I had the feeling we was going to lose today but I was hoping for a positive result like all of us was, I think it’s going to take a few games or so for us to get some cohesion and understanding between the team and once cooper installs that we will start picking up some good results.
The lads will be hurting tonight and so will cooper as they and he are winners, I would have liked for us to keep every loan player we had last season but I think the clubs we loaned the players from knew this and wanted stupid money for them, so cooper must have thought I can get as good players if not better for the same money or less…. but I’m only guessing at that.
I think we will get a win against West Ham, as everyone will be fired up in front of a packed city ground, just keep the faith we will come good so let’s keep giving the lads and cooper our full support.

Jolly mate the team that played at Wembley would not stand a chance in the Premier
Cooper got those players over the line but knew they would not be available at the right price or good enough in the Premier.

Bring on the hammers ? ?.

Speaking sense fff79, would be awesome to have had been able to keep the same team but they were never good enough to be competing at prem level. No negativity needed, keep the love and togetherness.

With respect Fff79 I know exactly what your saying there mate, I’m just wondering and probably so is every other Forest fan, I know Bowie is, what if cooper had signed spence, zinc, Davis, garner and Lowe then gave samba/ grabban the contracts they wanted within reason and then made 6 or 7 quality signings to build a team around the fore mentioned players that got us promoted last season……. would that have been a wiser thing to do rather than rebuilding the whole squad from scratch,? Which would keep the team spirit and familiarity of the squad together?
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it can also be a relevant too.

Thing is jolly spence wanted the spurs gig samba wanted out.
Garner wants to play for man utd and villa and Sheffield want far too much for their players who struggled to stay fit.
So it wasn't an option mate.

I agree players wanted to move on but maybe if cooper would have really wanted to keep more of the same team together from last season he probably could have done, but I fully trust in cooper and Murphy to get right with the players they’ve signed, The first game back was always going to be tough against Newcastle but think we will get a win against West Ham.
