Been down the ground today and took photos of the never to be forgotten Bittannia rowing club. Before it's demolished relived fond, memories . In days gone by there was clubs like Bittannia, The Dungeon and the Beachcomber, Hopefully now the climate is warming up Greek Balalika music with Ouzo, that's not to bad in the circumstances.

1951 - I agree, the Trentside clubs were magic, apart from Led Zeppelin I saw Juicy Lucy the night Glenn Campbell (not the Wichita lineman) the steel guitarist fell of the stage. Brill memories, been a clubber ever since especially at the Beachcomber, mods rule!

Mick, the Britt had such an atmosphere, so so sad it's going. Looked at it today, my it's untidy heaven knows what it's like inside now. Won't take much to knock it down, when you think how many people were in there when it's full.
