You can't have a loan to buy for a player the club don't want to sell. If united want to sell Garner then it is possible to sign him, if not it isn't happening.
Cornet and Dennis would be good because we don't have many players who have played a good few Prem games. Colback has more Prem appearances than the rest of the squad combined.

Cyclist- the problem is they don’t know if they want to keep him? An offer would force them into a decision. It appears that they aren’t really looking to sell him as they can afford to keep him or loan him out again and see what happens. But stick an offer in and they may decide they can add that money to another deal and let garner have a new home and make a fresh start. I’m not 100% sure he is our answer but I’d certainly back him if he does come to us.

I reckon they have already asked about possible fee. One United can't refuse is too much so Forest have been waiting to see what happens. However, Garner does not solve the problem of lack of Prem experience.
I think Cooper will want another MF player with a few Prem games under their belt whoever else he buys. CMF is too pivotal to go in with no experience. You can get away with it up front, but not in the middle.

I think if there is any chance of Garner playing for United - now or in the future - then the most that will happen is that he will go on loan. So won't be forest.
The only way we get Garner is if United actually tell him they don't want him. Garner is Man U through and through. Think Worrall and Forest. They love their club. Nothing wrong with that.
