As if it's not strange enough plucking an unknown teenager from Costa Rica, we're going to send him back there on loan to the team at the bottom of the league! I genuinely don't understand.
He's just played Continental football and won the league at his hometown club, Alajuelense, signed a deal to play in Europe and then gone back on loan to play for bottom-of-the-league Guanacasteca, over 100 miles from his hometown.
That's would be like Real Madrid signing Phil Foden, then loaning him back to Fulham for the season. Bit weird.

Maybe that’s the only way guanacasteca would let the transfer go through and if he is one for the future and not ready to go straight into the forest squad as only a 25 man squad can be named, I don’t see it making any difference to Forest next season if he does go back for 6 months……but definitely a strange one.

I don't think he qualifies for a work permit atm. If he plays in the world Cup though, he's pretty close to meeting the criteria for a permit. So a loan away for 6 months, then he might be available for us in January. Not really sure about where he's being loaned to, but he'll be playing regularly in the run up to the world Cup, which I'm sure is what he'll want.

I agree, it makes total sense for him to go back on loan, but surely he should go back to Alajuelense to compete for titles, not back to Guanacasteca to battle against relegation lol.

According to Trnsfer Markt he's only worth £114,000 so are we just going to use him in the Under 23's anyway?

Ah, I've just discovered he was already on loan at Guanacasteca from Alajuelense before Forest signed him, so he'll be going back to finish the season at Guanacasteca. He's a regular starter at Guanacasteca and was only on the fringes at Alajuelense.
