One thing that puzzles me. Why hasn't BJ agreed to a new Forest contract? Surely a double your wages 4 year deal with an agreed 25 million transfer clause inserted if a Premier club made an offer would protect both player and club. I hope we don't sell him in Jan but if we got 20m for him and bought Spence and Lowe and brought in another winger we would at least be securing 2 great wing backs.

I would say he is edging his bets, by not signing now he is waiting to see if we remain competitive in the Championship, if we were to get promoted he could command much more money, if we drop down the table he can leave and we get less money for him.

If a Premier league club came in for him now that he wanted to join his contract ending soon saves them money.

We MUST keep Johnson, he is our only outlet, and with his pace gives the opposition something to think about even when THEY are on the attack?
They know if they lose that ball, we're only seconds away from going up the other end and slotting one in their net!
When was the last time we had someone like him? .
Collymore, or Roy ven Franz Carr springs to mind
I know he can be quite lightweight and whinges alot, however who else have we with that kind of turn of pace?
So for me, he simply has to stay!

Rogie I have been saying the same. He has pace and ability that if we were to try and buy would cost £20 to £30mil

P. s Spence has ability and pace ok he's not a striker but if I had a choice between the 2 I would keep Spence All day long.

I personally think that if you know who was still managing Johnno would have been sold by now and that is probably one of the main reasons he never signed the contract. However, now he is playing in an attacking team and with the possibility of playing in the Prem for his boyhood club, he cannot lose when it comes to negotiating a new contract. If we go up, he will get a lucrative contract and if we don't he can just say these are my terms and the club will say that is fair enough and he will sign a contract, probably with a clause stating that if anyone wants to pay say £20m, he will be allowed to go if he wants to play for that club and Forest won, t stand in his way. I truely believe that Johnno will do what is right for his home town club, whilst still doing what is best for him and his family. KTF and Coyr.
