Two mentions from yesterday's game. Samba, the best GK in the league saves us from going 2 goals down in the first half AGAIN. I've seen some criticise him on here in recent weeks which completely baffles me. He's absolutely outstanding at this level. Second mention to Yates. If this guy could finish and head a ball, he should have scored 4 goals yesterday. I'll reiterate my point about him, because all I hear is work rate and attitude. Same went for Benny Osborn, but he didn't have much else in the locker either. How we're missing his "work rate" 🤔 he's a strong lad and over 6ft tall, but simply can't head a ball. When you have a team who should be converting a lot more of their chances, you can't afford to carry a player who can't finish their dinner, if you're serious about promotion. Yesterday should have been comfortable. My point being, Forest can't rely on "work rate" and "attitude" if we want to compete at the top. Spence has both of those things but my god he has application too in abundance. that's what makes the difference.

I think Yates will miss out once colback slots back into midfield, he’s done well if late though and played to his strengths for the team.

I think four is really stretching it gazza, two yes, but not four.
Unless suspended or injured he will play every game, colback sits deeper and hasn't got the engine to play Bix to box, anyone makes way it will be garner, but the way he's playing can't see that either.
Good to have competition don't you think?

A player that is first on the team sheet has no competition.

Colback has nowhere near the attributes of Yates, he will be on the bench when a orthodox left back is in situ, as I've said before Yates first name on the team sheet for me, possibly one of our major assets along with Johnson and Worral that's why Dyche has been sniffing around him, Colback a decent squad player IMO.

I think cooper rates colback personally and feel he be in front of others this season, I could be wrong though and hey what a great Debate for us to now be able to have!

I’ll throw a name in to the mix Cafu? In the two late substitutions against Huddersfield and Arsenal I was very impressed in his attitude and plays better when a bit further up the pitch. Maybe another one who under Cooper could improve us🤷‍♂️ Be nice to see if can be a combative midfielder who can finish.

Cafu is at best a squad player, we need a player that will push hard any first team player that plays in his position not a player only seen as a late sub.

That's what football is all about
Having a good squad and making every player feel part of the team.
Team spirit is something Cooper has instilled in the players and it shows with our never give up attitude.
It's a team game, not about individuals.

The idea is to have your squad players that are seen as players that keep the first team players on their toes not squad players that are seen as only subs. Cooper is doing a good job.
