Last night I watched a team make a few mistakes, create loads of chances and work hard. We are not going to step on the pitch dominate and win 3-0 at a stroll every game are dreamers and really don’t understand football. Lots of positives to take from the game if you change your mindset and look for them. Cooper has done wonders since coming in and he’s only just getting started.

Keep the Faith and have a Happy 2022 your mindset is the key 👍.

Disagree pineapple. Having watched the last few matches and listened to the rest on commentary our football is poor to watch. I have never seen a team so poorly organised at corners and freekicks. Set pieces should be a given that we will be organised and carry some kind of threat. You can hear the tumble weed as we cross into the box, either too long or too high with no drive from any big lads to get on the end of them. The same for the crosses in open play, shocking. Neither grabban or Taylor can head a ball and grabban stifles any attempt at expansive quick football. We play like a rugby team playing sideways across the park, I call it straight line football, turgid and predictable. And when it goes wide no one comes from anywhere to overlap the winger to drag defenders out, Cash used to do it. Our midfield are slow to get into the box when the ball is wide and the times we get caught napping and make teams like Huddersfield look good, ie their goal, odeja asleep. 40 years ago when I played at semi pro clubs we had drills for possession, drills for when ball was lost and set pieces we had drills and moves that we all, pro’s or not, understood. When balls went wide strikers cross over one goes near post other attacks from the far post, centre mids hit the box with pace. I see none of this with forest. We have no height yet we keep going wide and have no drive through the middle.
Zinc and silva were very effective in parts last night and grabban and Johnstone very poor yet stayed on. Some strange decisions by Cooper and the deployment of the massively improving colback out wide was just one of them. For all our puff their keeper only had one save to make the rest were were so off target or blocked it was a joke typified by worrall who looked like my auntie Jeanne in attempting a shot with his wrong foot… rant over but some truth here, wake up Cooper, the players might not be good enough or loaners going back but at set pieces we should expect organisation…

Times have changed 40 years is a long time ago. The stats show we dominated but didn’t capitalise on that dominance which is obviously an issue. I thought Silva had a great game and was unlucky not to score but he hasn’t had game time and maybe that was the reason for being bought off. If as you say the players aren’t good enough and also loan players isn’t Cooper doing a fantastic job to getting us this far up in the table? A window coming up and roughly half a season to go let’s see what happens.

Keep the Faith.

Rutland, I agree with you mate, the difference is I’ve come to accept this is now the forest brand of football - it has been since Marinakis took over, I hated lamouchi’s football but it yielded results until the end but Christ is was awful to watch . Cooper’s is the same and to press he’s not done bad and deserves our support, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is a brand of football that we stick too which means the coach is selecting and removed at will and another brought in to pick up the philosophy and execute it better without turning. The club on its head with a whole set of new ideas which require structural change from top to bottom .

40 yrs was early to late 80’s. relevant I think. Tell me a corner where we even attempted to get on the end of it. We even aimlessly took short ones when the big lads had gone forward, shocking.
Anyway Hughton did the same, new manager effect, got us to 7th then we drifted.

Not sure how a team who's football was turgid and sideways managed to have 23 shots on goal. We should of won easily last night, composure in front of goal cost us. Young Johnson could of had a hat trick. Scoring from set pieces has been a problem for years, it isn't just in Cooper's time. I can't think of a centre half who finds the net since Matt Mills. End of the game there wasn't any booing, in fact the players were clapped off by the fans left in the ground. The effort was there but our finishing was woeful.
