While we are all reminiscing did anyone else ever go to the drill hall in Grantham had some great acts on there at the time but think the best I saw was the Who, mad lot, at that time they were into smashing all their kit up on stage . Years later I was working at a outdoor concert in Norwich and the Who were playing again with Ringo Star's son playing on drums, back stage I asked Roger Daltrey if he could remember playing at Grantham Drill hall and to my great surprise he told me that he could. I remember the night in Grantham very well because I got a good kicking in the back yard later that night, Grantham lads and Newark lads didn't see eye to eye in those days, I looked at the wrong girl that night, but I ended up marrying her, and still together now, that drill hall has a lot to answer for 😂ðŸºðŸ‘🤕.

On a football theme,5 years ago I was on holiday in Spain with the family . One morning in the hotel coming room were many got young men as my wife noticed, later that day they all came to the pool. The group were Athletico Bilbao players on a training week at our hotel. Great group of players, very friendly and great with the kids. They don't go there any more as the hotel has changed owners.
