My daughter her partner and my youngest just left, i'm an old stickler for gathering the kids around the table on a sunday, turn the telly off for a while and learn what each of us can bore each other with in there lives . Anyway we retired to watch some telly. Put my dodgy box on and we start watching the Beatles get back. Amazing backstage footage of the Beatles. Best band ever by a country mile. Anyway my daughter and son love music as much as me. The youngest son comes out with a story on McCartney on the last time he seen Harrison, in hospital looking absolutely terrible. He said his goodbyes to him and said he was off to see ringo, turned around, probably knowing it was the last time he was seeing him. Harrison said as he neared the door. Hey paul want me to come with ya, i swear i broke down like a baby. Couldn't hide my emotions. Kids and music and football eh. Swear i love them all â¤.

your bowie posters, don't let them go. get down to craft world and get some cheep frames and put the posters in them, the glass will preserve them, then put them away out of any sun light till you want to sell them.

Very moving story mate.
I had a terrible nightmare a week ago, involving my daughter and I caught up in terrifying terrorist attack.
I could do nothing, felt completely helpless. by some miracle my late Mother appeared with her, as the chaos slowly disappeared, and she was absolutely fine, shook me to my very core. Still does.
Ironically I told her over the dinner table too. and got very emotional.
As our you would say "Love those around ya"

Had the grandkids for the weekend enjoyed every minute.

I have to split my kids/ grandkids for the size of my flat 79, my daughter and youngest son don't have kids. My oldest has 4 kids my grandchildren. Sadly never see two of them because of the sanctions (think its the right word) she puts on him. His ex takes a massive chunk of his wages from the CSA yet robs them of fatherhood. Not making excuses for my boy just can never understand why people do this. he's battled and lost in court. Which costs him another load on to of the CSA . It was years ago but he's still paying bless him. Oh and his guilt . Let you lot work it out. He was a boy tbh wrapped up in the snow surrounding him at the wrong time of year. Rife around here and everywhere. Do i feel guilty of bringing him up the wrong way. Course i dont.

Bowie mate sounds like you and your kids have not had the best of luck but there lucky to have you as a dad and a grandad…. I think all kids need there dads there just as important as there mother so to deny access to kids seeing there fathers is unforgivable IMO there’s a lot of selfish people in the world mate but all’s we can do is our best and what’s right, I never lower myself to some ignorant, judgmental and facist opinions some people have as that’s what we fought hitler for freedom and free speech.
One thing about families from jordie land is that they look after each other when times get tough and seem to have the right morals, love and respect for family like you do, my grandad who was a sand dancer had the same good values about family and being there for one another, which like you say is priceless when it comes to family.
