I thought the decision to play colback at fullback was a disaster waiting to happen. A poor decision from Cooper as it weakened two positions and not just the one. Colback is not a fullback in any way shape or form. He has been exceptional in his role this season so why the fcuk would you move him into unfamiliar territory. Surely there is someone at the club who could come in at fullback/wingback and leave colback to do what he does best. It's not worked before so why now?
For a home team to not get a shot on target is also history repeating itself. I think it's already been mentioned but without loan signings the squad is threadbare and lacking in the desired quality. I am not too familiar with the u23 but hear good things about Fornah and Taylor, Mighten has simply not stepped up and probably needs time out on loan. I think Cooper has been a breath of fresh air and is the right man at the right time but a bit confused by some simple errors of judgement.

Good post Rutland and I said before the team was announced on here that under no circumstances should colback play left back.
Mainly due to his lack of pace, you then lose any link up play with Johnson and so lose the left flank as an attacking source.
We then saw odedha and garner playing in our own half looking accomplished on the ball but not hurting the opposition.
It took the pace out of the team.
When we talk about our under 23 and our training facilities in general, just take a look at the fabulous facilities around the prem and some championship sides and then compare our tent on Wilford lane?
We need better training facilities to progress now we have moved up a notch with the under 23
This all takes time and will need patience.
All we can ask right now is to move forward, which we have under Cooper.
Confidence is a major factor in football and Cooper has that in abundance.
If we had started the season with him we would be nicely in the top six, the fact we started bottom, tells you he's getting it right with a squad he inherited.

I think it just shows how little faith he has in Bong, and rightly so. Hopefully he gives the youth a chance to paper over the cracks that are starting to appear again. Richardson should play tomorrow.

Yes gazza but if bong isn't good enough to start ahead of a midfielder then he should not be on the bench either?
We ended up with two young inexperienced midfielders playing side to side in our own half.
No momentum from them, yes it looks neat and tidy but they created nothing add colback to the mix at left back and playing with a striker that can't even hold a ball or give defenders a hard time, then always going to be a difficult night.
But Cooper only has these players although I'd like to see silva and a few others given a chance, but can't argue with the turn around from bottom of the league.
To me we are on the up, so just enjoy.

Good point about silva 79. From what I have seen of him he is strong, pacey with skill in abundance. An option lacking from our front men. Yes he must have flaws hence not trusted by the hammers or us. Another weird acquisition if your not going to at least bench him!!!
