Any on here agree with Simon Jordan and myself about the players not performing for CH, I said the same in a post earlier about bad apples, and I still believe that's what happened under SL when we had the chance of the play offs . Theese players are still there, but fortunately it looks like they won't to play for Mr Cooper, at the minute, long may it last.

The players bottled it. Mixture of s4ite coaching and poor temperament of the players.
As for under Hughton, the players had lost faith in what the boss was asking them to do, so were demoralised. It wasn't working, but the boss asked them to keep doing the same. Definition of madness. Poor management. Poor judgment to let Hughton continue to do the same at the start of this season - no matter what his apologists on here said.

Jordan talking crap the reason we have won games since hughton left is simply down to playing a more attacking formation and giving the players the confidence to go out and express themselves, something sadly lacking under hughton.

Grabbon certainly one skegs, the Portuguese full back that went this year, can’t remember his name, his mate figs, colback, funny how he’s come good again, Arter another, might even add Samba to that list crap last season, weather he just wanted to be, or just is I’ll leave up to you to decide. Not really rocket science dream my mate who is a rugby fan and doesn't like forest said to me all the players at forest under Houghton wanted sacking as they just didn't play for him but like u said earlier let's hope Cooper doesn't get on the wrong side of the players else he will end same way its all about player power now managers are 2 a penny.

Same happened to Claudio at Leicester he lost the dressing room and he lost his job as a result, Houghton made a rod for his own back playing to defensive but it's still down to the players to perform but we can go on about that till the cows come home lol, but I'm wondering if cooper can get carvalho playing up to his potential if not may be time to get rid.

The dumb system didn't suit the players. Man management was also poor. Confidence drops and players look poorer. It is an ever decreasing circle.
Players, even if they want to leave, won't play badly on purpose. Why? They will destroy their own career, that is why. Even if you want to leave, you have to impress someone to get a contract.
It is the manager's job to get the best out of players by having good relationships and understanding what role makes them tick. That includes having a system that suits the players so that they can show what they are good at.
The older players would certainly play their socks off if I were boss. If they didn't perform, we have great youth players who can learn about first team football now.
Finally, if those players were not trying, then they should not have been in the team. Who picked the team? The players don't pick themselves, do they?

All players should be trying to give 100% effort every game for the mega bucks they are payed, they are payed football by NOTTINGHAM FOREST FC not for whoever is the manager at the time, even when you don’t agree with the tac tics, it should be up to the owner to get rid of managers not players, us fans can have our say on match days, its not for players to down tools to get rid of managers, don’t tell me that it don’t happen red, I know your not that silly. Yes as you say you could drop players for not performing, but then the club are paying these players for nothing, so they will again.

Jordan does not understand how a failed psychology affects players and their ability . It’s not they couldn’t be bothered but more they lost their mojo. It is the same group of players under Coops but as they now have a coach who believes in them see how they play.

Believe in them lol they get paid 20000 a week shouldn't have to believe in them they should play every game the same way that's what they get paid for anyway I'm happy with the way things are moving forward at the minute like I said before let's just hope the owner backs Cooper in the January window striker is a must as grabbon will be gone in the Sumner not like I will miss him taylors useless and hopefully we can keep hold of Johnson.

Yes the players underperformed under CH and they have to be accountable for that. But the buck stops with the manager. No one in any profession can perform at 100% all of the time regardless of income, and it's the managers job to get them performing close to 100% consistently and CH was completely inept when it came to man management.

Exactly doc, any sports psychologist will say the same. Athletes only perform well when they believe what they are doing will bring results.
From the point of view of psychology, the evidence from the end of last season and the start of this was that the way they were asked/ coached to play won't get results. Belief goes and so does performance.
No matter how much you want to win, if you don't believe that what you are doing is going to work, as sports science has proven, the game is up. You have to do something different. Hughton seemed to be unable to do that.

Don’t know how old you are red, but I go back a long way, I can remember playing local Saturday football, we had to get to the ground at 10-00 am Saturday morning, clear the sheep off the pitch, cut the grass, mark the line’s, put up the goal posts and nets, clean the changing rooms all before kickoff. We played our games, loosing all the time 8,9, 10,15, even 18-0, every one of those lads never gave less than 100% commitment and effort to the manager and club all season through, so if those lads can do it why can't some of the Forest players. Don’t give me the phycology and belief in the manager and style of play crap, any player can give 100% effort IF THEY WANTED TO. We played for the love of the game, shame the players of today don’t.

As I,ve said before I,m sorry to say I think CH engineered his and his staffs pay offs by upsetting players and not communicating with them especially the young players .
He knew he on to a loser and wanted out IMO otherwise he,d have had to resign with nothing .
If a boss continually upsets a work force it,s inevitable they lose faith and performance,s naturally drop in all works of life!

So what your saying then carlo is manager’s engineer there way out of clubs for money, players do the same thing, players can down tools to also get rid of managers, in that case owners have got no chance, makes you wonder why they bother buying clubs at all. As for working life, if I didn’t do what my boss told me and my performance dropped, weather I liked it or not, telling off, written warning, written warning, gone, without a pay off. No wonder football’s in a state.
