Who sanctioned the signing of this tripe? Did anyone at Forest scout any of these players or did we just take dear old Jorge’s word for it?
And there lies the start of the problems. Huge amounts of money laid out on loan fees and dross. The fans can see it, other teams can see it, but nobody down at the City Ground can.
And what followed? A never ending procession of bizarre signings, loans and signings on mass. Over a hundred players in and out of the club over the past few seasons. No team spirit, no sense of belonging, no pattern of play and no identity. Don’t get me wrong, I detest CH style of play, but it’s just him picking up the pieces of the worst spell of transfer activity our club has ever seen.

Spot on red frog, no club would survive such catastrophic mismanagement of expenditure no club has ever been ripped off like we were with that trio of players .

Wilder is in line to take the role of manager of Hughton gets the boot.
Personally I'd give Hughton a pair of walking boots and tell to walk away as from Nottinghamshire as possible.

It’s true what you have written Redfrog and it’s been a long hard lesson but one we have hopefully learned from regarding the latest signings. It’s more than likely going to be yet again a tough season but hopefully it bodes well for the future. The only target for me this campaign is staying in the division and hopefully we bring in some permanent signings before the end of the window to help us do that and push on for the following season.

Unlikely we will see perm signings unless we sell, I doubt we’ve got any allowable expenditure within FFP unless we sell. In any case, in my opinion, Marinakis would not Chuck money at transfers even if there were no FFp, it will all have to be funded by outgoings .

After our track record of signings in previous 2 seasons ( McKenna the exception ) its probably a good idea for us to sign loans in first instance to see if they are worth buying later.

Fair point it makes sense but we also can’t afford to buy anyone unless we sell first, I think it’s better to let the CEO find his feet before we spend - it’s probably for the best .
