Life in perspective.
So i popped into see my eldest son Saturday morning, he's 38 now and the grandkids. He's unfortunately type (1) diabetic. He had a few cans aa you do Friday. As i looked at him i said you look a lot worse than normal for just a few cans. Anyway cut a long story short. His pen for his insulin hadnt been working for a full week. By Sunday his partner phoned an ambulance after he became worse . all his blood had became toxic. he's still in hospital but stable now. Doctor said if he hadn't went that afternoon he'd have been in a coma by monday morning and most likely died.
Sorry this isn't about football .
But the point i'm getting at is as i always tell you lot never take life for granted or them around ya. just because lockdown has lifted. Still have dinners around the table . Talk to each other and always tell them you love them. Again my son 38 bit of a hard lad . but i kissed him on the head that Saturday morning and told him i loved him as i left . just a thought to you all 👌.

Been missing a while, you've got that spot on bowie, you don't what you have till it's gone, don't let it go, if haven't got it find it.

Love your 'bring me down to earth' perspectives Bowie. Bang on.

28 Jul 2021 11:16:45
Bowie I went through that with my daughter but she went into a coma- all good now but what a scare. Type 1 is a nasty illness and unlike most type 2 it’s not their fault. Glad he’s getting better 👍.

Cant thank you all enough, 2tone i'm sorry but obviously over the moon your daughter pulled through, as you said its not there fault. I cannot tell you how many times iv'e talked to him about the awareness of sugar in alcohol. (As it happens it wasn't that but his pen) but the lad works really hard, and i find it hard to begrudge him his friday few cans. He's 38 a man now. Its a strange thing when your kids go through pain. You want to do it all for them. Simple mate, i'm sorry to hear of your contact with your son. Only piece of advice i can give you. Is to get in touch with his workplace and forward your concerns. i'm sure they'd be more than understanding sir. Hope this helps.

Simple 65 Mate, if your lads actions in not being in contact are unusual and you’ve checked with his mates and usual haunts plus peace of work and (God forbid) hospitals etc you should definately report him as missing to Manchester Police. Hope he’s ok my friend.

Agreed Bowie, heroes all of them. All those commemorated are brave men and women who selflessly put themselves in harms warm to protect us all. We sometimes take it for granted and it’s brilliant to put a marker down to say we are grateful and won’t forget your ultimate sacrifice. The same for the Armed Services. It’s a wonderful site about 10 miles from where I live, well worth a visit, beautifully kept and maintained.

Don’t wish to invade your privacy Simple 65 but any update on your lad?
