Did anyone notice that most of the England players, disrespectfully removed their hard won silver medals before it even had time to settle on their shirts. Southgate should have stepped in here. I think this displayed petulance and whilst millions were watching, including children, they belittled their acheivement.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jul 2021 23:16:06
Yeah i saw that Rutland and thought the same. But imagine how disappointed they would be at that moment.

13 Jul 2021 00:27:55
No. I noticed them standing up to hate.

13 Jul 2021 02:05:35
There wash a lot of pressure on these England lads to win the final you can’t blame them for being hurt and disappointed that they didn’t win so it’s understandable that they took off there silver medals quickly as they were disappointed that they failed to win.
To all the moron racist **** go and crawl back under the rock from which you came, the England lads did us proud yes we’re hurt and disappointed but there’s no place for racism, to judge someone by race, religion or colour of there skin is wrong people should be judged for themselves.
Keep the faith fellow reds good will always triumph over evil and small minded ignorant so called people.
THE PUBLIC IMAGE IS ROTTEN.

Damson i see no racist comments on here and the ed's would not publish any for sure. As for the players removing their medals for me it was arrogance and disrespect. Respect is a 2 way street and this act was unsavoury and ill judged.
As for the online abuse, from what i can gather after digging around, most of it is from abroad and nowhere near the amount proported by the msm. The msm have an agenda and propigating this sort of stuff fits their mantra which is just as disgusting as abuse.
Tyrone mings just typifies the arrogance of the players, who obviously had more on their minds than just playing football.

13 Jul 2021 10:35:16
Tyrone Mings made a more concise, accurate, and erudite point in a single tweet, about something that directly involves him the day after losing a major international tournament final, than anything I’ve seen posted by a good proportion of ‘fans’ in months.

But, yeah yeah, I get it, ‘Marxism’, and ‘playing politics’ despite factual inaccuracy etc. etc.

13 Jul 2021 11:33:36
If you read my post Rutland I didn’t say racism was on here in any way shape or form, please read carefully.

13 Jul 2021 13:29:07
I haven’t got a problem with Tyrone mings, or any other footballer giving their opinions on politics or any anything else that affects society, but what has to be taken into account is, that because they happen to be better at kicking a bag of wind about than most of us, it doesn’t make their views any more relevant, or any more likely to be correct, than any other member of the public, I abhor a man being criticised for the colour of his skin. And I also dislike the anti English racists from north of the border, who come in their thousands to London, ticketless, stand on the streets chanting their hate for the English, and nothing is said, this is still racism, as are the signs outside Glasgow bars, reading’ anyone but England, if this was done in England aimed at any other country, there would be all sorts of hand wringing.

You've just reminded me of a bachelor party i went to in york stevie f, 1979 was the year. Outside a bar was a notice reading (no dogs or geordies) the nasty 70s i will leave to you to work out what we done to the place. as you say discrimination comes in all forms .

13 Jul 2021 14:45:12
Bowie exactly mate,

13 Jul 2021 15:03:08
Hey Bowie, was you at York for the races that day? Always a good turnout of Geordie lads on bus trips at York, they love their racing in the north east, I think Nottingham people in the main aren’t very interested, the amount of people that go to our local racetrack I’m surprised it survives, stopped over for the Pitmans derby a few times, stopped at whitley bay, 😂I don’t need to tell you some interesting sights in the boozers at night 😂😂.

13 Jul 2021 16:48:11
I used to work in the upholstery business in the early days stevie mate. Factory was huge. We all got on great. Used to go to all the main races at york, Doncaster, Newcastle, redcar, thirsk, hexham, ayr none of them too far for us and as you pointed out we love our racing in the north east. Obviously because of my past i give it up altogether. Miss them days . but you wouldn't take someone on the wagon on a pub crawl. Haha. Whitley bay as you pointed out is where i live. Not right on coast though, like all seaside towns they seem to throw all the, how do i put this. People needing help in these areas. ever your this way let me know bud. Luv to have a pint with a fellow red 👍.

13 Jul 2021 17:03:42
Bowie thanks mate, I might well take you up on that,

13 Jul 2021 19:48:31
Whitley Bay is beautiful and the north east is one of the most underrated places in the country .

13 Jul 2021 20:45:10
Thanks very much 2star mate 👍.

13 Jul 2021 20:45:57
Hey Bowie is the Rex hotel still standing in Whitley bay😂.

13 Jul 2021 20:59:16
Yes its still there stevie is that where you stayed?

13 Jul 2021 21:06:56
Stevie they were going to spend £10m changing it to a care home. But they changed and are turning the old building into luxury apartments. (The rex) nightclub has obviously gone now because of this.

13 Jul 2021 21:47:09
Bowie, no mate, it looked a bit dodgey 😂but seemed iconic in the town😊 we actually stopped a bit outside In the end in cullercotes but spent our drinking time in Whitley bay,
