Just know I'll get huge stick for this post,
Does mighton actually deserve the young player of the year award at Forest, is there actually anyone else to give it to, all the other better youngsters have been out on lone so I suppose they don't come into it . apart from umbe sow has any other young players played for Forest this season.

I suppose they have to give it to someone.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll get more stick for saying that mighten had enough game time to shine. He didn't and maybe that sounds harsh. But in a wide position he does not have the blistering pace to avoid challenges. He was easily put to ground and is wasted. Not sure he has got it in him to play a no 10 role so for me he needs maybe div1 for a season to mature, develope his touch and strengeth.

Will Umbe Sow prove to be money well spent or would we have been better using an academy product or looked in English football ?

Mighten has the best goals per minute ratio in the squad and I think the best shots on target ratio. If Mighten had played more games we might have actually scored more.

Some people make a wrong comment and then stick with it in spite of the evidence. Mighten is learning and will improve.

We play too many players who are on the decline and therefore the team declines and the value of the squad constantly goes down. If we play more improving players the value of the squad goes up and the team improves. It is that simple.

Look at Peterborough or Brentford. They buy players who are improving and play them. Their teams get better all the time and the value of those players gets higher. That is how you build a winning team over time.

Red you think mighton may make it, I personally don’t, it’s all a matter of opinion mate, I just look at what he’s added to the team and I can’t see a lot to be honest, and I do realise that he’s only a young lad. We’ve all had a go at knockeart for his work rate witch ain’t good, but it’s better than mightons, we’ve had a go at amiobe for being inconsistent, and he as been, but I can’t say mighton has been any better, again I say, I no he’s only young, a year out on loan may help him big time.
But I hope we are not having to rely on him next season, he just ain’t ready, look at all the other young players we’ve let go, is he as good as them my opinion no, not yet will he be, I’m really not sure he will.

Rc i knew the mighten goals stat would come back. I could never knock the lad for that and if you look at where he came from to get his goals were central positions. Look, his touch is not great and his passing poor. He rarely lays it off first time and spins into space. He tries to turn when covered by two players and goes to ground very easily. He will become a better player but i think he needs to build and learn in div1. This is just a step up that he will struggle in if always played wide.
Through the middle is where i think his strengths are. Put 2 on him there happy days.

Quite simply Mighten should play in a number 10 role . Those of you who may remember the Chelsea match when I think he was 17 . He terrorised their defence and would have got a penalty except in VAR his upper arm was offside. This was an incorrect VAR decision according to the offside rule and it would then have been 2/ 2 . Ben Johnson, Gabriel and other young players were sent on loan or sold ( Grant, Walker ) . So the club experts kept Mighten at the club . He at 19 is still very young and he will improve and we will see whether Johnson has improved in his time at Lincoln! When he was with the first team he hardly got a game.

Rutland you point out what is wrong with young Mighten, please enlighten us if you believe you are right where have the manager and his coaching staff been to coach his bad habits of him.

Think they tried GF but gave up and dropped him. You can lead the horse to water.

Chris has certainly led you to the water🤣🤣🤣.

I think Mighten will make it. Yes. He is a very talented player and knows where the goal is. If he plays more he will certainly contribute more than any and all of, Knockeart, Taylor, Grabban, Ameobi, Freeman, Cafu. Say no more.
