I think it was the 67/68 season and I had embarked on a minesweeper just out of an extended refit so we were starting from scratch with non navy things,so sports kit was non-existent so I wrote to Forest inquiring if they had any spare kit sorry was the reply we have just had a fire and can't spare anything at the moment,ok fair enough,my mate a sheep sha---er wrote to Derby and they supplied both home and away kits,so for a year we had to play in sheep colours most embarrasing,so I hope they go down again,we are still in touch and he never let's me forget that time ☹ï¸

Remember after we beat Derby in the1898 cup final we had to have the pictures took in their kit because our kit was to dark to show up on the photography
technology of the time!

{Ed001's Note - they are not perfect until you can keep em in your pocket to use for 'best'. When we went out one day to somewhere like Warwick Castle, he found another set that he rinsed off in the toilets and popped em in to check the fit. They became his 'best' set for the rest of his life. Classy!}
