Be an interesting preseason, me personally would be looking at bringing in three good attacking signings with pace and a couple of loans that's all that is required, but it will probably be too many in once again.

season tickets are up for renewal, you lucky people have till second wk in june. it gives you a chance to see what way ch is going, one would hope out of the door. i'm hoping to get a season card if any are avalable but i'm not holding my breath.

Paterson, maybe. Assombalonga is a no-brainer. I don't understand what people are on about thinking Britt is a crock. He has played loads of games and still has a good goals-to-games ratio.
You get this on here. People know we don't have bags of money spare due to financial fair play. They know we need to keep Worrall, Mighten, Johnson as they will improve (so the team will) . So the obvious solution is to get a good quality striker on a "free". Not really a free as wages and signing on will be high. However, we are about to lose a lot of the squad so have wages available.
Get a grip fellow reds. If you want to keep the best players we can't start signing many expensive players too.

Gayle is 31 and, like Freeman and Colback, has hardly played in the last two seasons. You guys complain that the management don't learn. Neither do you!
Britt Assombalonga is still only 28, has played regularly. 28 to 30 is the prime of a player. He is aproven goal scorer, likes the club and had his best days here. As I say, it is a no-brainer.
Woukld Britt improve the team. An emphatic yes! He is better than what we have without a shadow of a doubt.

You could never match gayle against colback or Freeman, don't know what it is but terrible premier player but he always seems hungry to me in the championship. And as for 3 year difference with brit. Means nothing.

Gayle hasn't been playing. We could end up with yet another player who isn't ready to play 40 games.
We can afford the wages for Assombalonga because we are no longer going to be paying the wages of Freeman, Knockeart (I hope), Murray. What we can't afford is to pay £4M transfer plus wages for a player and then have to sell johnson or Worrall.
I think you guys have a short memory about how good Assombalonga can be.
And please don't try to argue that we shouldn't sign a player because of our playing style. That would be an argument against signing any decent quick attacker. We play the style we do partly because the players we have aren't capable of playing another way or have poor movement.
