Just wanted to apologise for being a total d#ck the other night. Not the first time iv'e overdosed on painkillers (wine/ vodka) one of those woke up. I didn't send them and why. But life goes on. Dropped the wife off for America this morning. Bless. But her old mans worth it. Simple thanks for the reply on gambling mate and brilliant point on sponsorship. But there were others. Wonga etc all trash raking money from the masses. and yes i suppose your right about opening up. In fact. It happened just before xmas my big losses. Want more i walked in front of a car and ran in front of another. that's what gambling can do to people. If i can save just one person on here from going down that road iv'e achieved my objective. Lifes about helping one another not whingeing like I've been doing. Luv ya reds. Stay calm stay safe. And never be afraid to talk. Takes a man to admit when he goes wrong. Just saying. â¤.

Bowie mate think we've all gone through some sort of addiction depression lows in our life mate and your right it's good to talk about it mate and it does take a real bloke to admit the problems there's plenty on here that will listen to you if you ever feel down nice one ed 01 just shows its not just a banter site take my hat off to you . anyway Bowie I was perfectly fine before I started on this site now I after drink 10 Stella's a night and listen to 79 I really don't know what I've done to deserve that but definitely wouldn't change it lol it's a great site takes you away from the things that are going on at home and all the lads on here are great don't let them know I said that but chin up mate were all here if u have a low day.

Wow reds i can't thank you all enough. I had 3 shrinks helping me for a good while when it originally happened. Amazing what good counselling can do. It was either that or the nuthouse obviously for my own safety. Gambling really is one of the worst addictions. Reason a lot really don't know they have it. As said skegs mate i love this site and all the great posts etc. (Even listening to ff79 😀) enjoy your day reds. And thank you.

Take care bowie mate I've seen first hand what gambling can do as one bloke who came in our local bookies lost everything house job wife and lives on the street or with people that have similar problems who understand and take him in.
Gambling and drinking at the same time are a definite no that only ends badly as you can't register what your actually doing so the staff should turn away bets when they know you've had a few too many.
My tip is never gamble online if you aren't near a bookie with the cash in your hand don't do it.
Best thing youve done mate is admit its been a problem for you and to ne honest i'm alit better off financially with football pubs and bookies closed and to be honest it really hasn't bothered me as I've moved and have plenty to do at home.
Sometimes we get set in our ways and maybe a bit bored with life and look for escapism in a big win.
The government turned nearly all of us into gamblers when they introduced the lottery and every other advert is to gamble but responsibly, tats ok if you don't have an addictive nature.

Brilliant forest 79, a lad i knew wait for his name (bobby the launderer) 😀 used to launder money for the plastic gangsters in my area. Used to get me remortgages for fun. (worst northern rock) we all know what happened to them. Obviously mate i ended up going bankrupt. Must have owed just under 100 grand. Please please get help i know fans do gamble. Obviously not like me. Use gamstop uk as your number one port of call. This stops you using any online gambling site. Because as ff79 brilliantly pointed out gambling online is just numbers. I've lost a lot of interest edd mate in football.
Its seems to be about avoiding defeat with too many managers and the entertainment suffers.
To be honest my passion in life is gardening and I've moved to my final place with the size of garden I've always wanted and although hard work landscaping it its looking good after 0ne year here.
I work as a kitchen and bathroom fitterand have also had to renovate the whole bungalow as well so been busy.
Always look but don't feel the need to post so often.
Only two years to tetirement now edd so i'm making life good for my hobbies like the garden and fishing.
So alls well for me my partner and our grandchildren abd football has taken a step back in my life.
Watched every forest game till huddersfield and to be honest its some of the poirest and boring I've ever seen in my 64 years from forest.
{Ed001's Note - my first job was as an apprentice landscape gardener, loved it until winter arrived and there was no work. I later went back to it to do horticulture at college to try and get into groundsmanship, mainly because the course came with day release to Bellefield and Melwood (showing my age now as they are both gone!). Best job I ever had was gardening. Don't let it go when you retire though, keeping active and having hobbies keeps you healthy. I have seen people who just stop and they don't last long afterwards. Whereas those that hang on to their hobbies and keep going, even when they are hard for them to do, are those that last a while.
I can fully understand about the footie mate, I think a lot of people are struggling without fans in the ground. Without an atmosphere it just feels wrong.}

No chance of me stopping my hobbies edd.
I'm at my happiest when i'm outdoors and the village I've moved to has some great wildlife like the land bound Nottingham canal which i cycled down from my home in awsworth to trowell with the misus at the weekend for the first time.
90 minute round trip but great to see all the wildlife.
If i had my time again i'd be a gardener but have to say i enjoy fitting kitchens and bathrooms and have done so for 42 years self employed.
Get what you say about winter but they are so much milder these days.
