Seems to be mixed feelings amongst fans over Mcguane. It's reported he wants to leave . I don't have an view because I've never seen him play but will say just because he was at Arsenal and Barcelona doesn't make him a good player it just means he wasn't good enough for them. Bostock was at big clubs too but if you saw him play for Doncaster the other day he was average at best in the lower league .
What I will say is players can play well with better players around them so at least give him a pre season. But if he wants to go, let him go

Red balloons I’ve made this point before, and one or 2 didn’t like it, but hardly anyone on here could have seen him play, surely forest have monitored his progress at Oxford, and they are better informed to form an opinion than us, , it’s only press talk anyway, ,

I agree with both of you. I am a bit surprised that Oxford are so keen (presumably they will have to wait until the summer anyway) as by all reports he has been steady rather than outstanding. If he wants to go then fine. We have enough problems in the squad without players who do not want to be here. Perhaps shows a lack of ambition too on his part?

He might have been offered game time at Oxford that he's not going to get at forest.
