No money to spend played the youngsters and did a good job imo then hit a really bad streak a d was replaced wrongly imo by Kinnea, as soon as he came in lo and behold there was money to spend and he wasted it
We have to build a young side again hence my 3-5-2 post earlier and imo the following players need to be shown the door at the end of the season Sow Arter Colback Bachirou Hefele Ameobi Lolley Christie Knockaert Murray Grabban Bong Jenkinson Figeredo Da Costa and Taylor let's get rid of the loans journeymen and moneygrabbers
Bring back the you gsters on loan and play them including Carvalho.

You pick on one aspect of my post Stevie you are entitled to your opinion on Carvalho as am I.
As a creative player he has got to be better than Freeman and Cafu that's my opinion we also have 13m invested in a very young player.

Munmad carvallho is 24 not a very young player, and Cafu is not supposed to be a creative midfield player, he’s a dm, as for carvallho being better than a fit Freeman?, I doubt it very much,

Nice thought but that was a moment in time . Reid, Dawson, harewood Morgan, prutton all went on to have decent careers at prem level. We also had a couple of others who were probably good enough for the prem and a des Walker who for two outstanding seasons for us abs a resilient David Johnson. We won’t ever have as many players of that quality again coming at the same time , this is the issue, people think it’s not happened again because we don’t give them a chance, but it’s not, it’s simply that they aren’t the same standard as that crop . Times have changed and youngsters would sooner take a chance as one of 200 that might make it at Man Utd .
Nice thought MUNMAD but it’s just a dream to think we can replicate that situation under Hart, it was made easier by the fact Hart had also managed them as youngsters as well. Gary Brazil wouldn’t be able to do what Hart did. We just need to let a manager build a team and trust in his judgement on players . I see where you’re coming from on Carvalho but alas I think we’ve wasted our money there, he did show moments of promise but overall he wasn’t really up to it.

Putting their abilities to one side Carvalho, Grabban, Taylor and Murray, that would make Carvalho a young player, you could also name some more older players in the team and squad Stevie f.

It was being suggested that carvallho is some sort of novice, he’s 24, not 19,look at what garner is contributing, 5 or 6 different managers have now looked at carvallho, and none of them deem him worth a regular start, the fact that he looks young in an ageing squad is completely irrelevant,

It all depends on how you see it Stevie f, i read it as Carvalho is one of the clubs youngest players. I agree that Garner is a quality player and if we could sign him permanently i would be happy but equally if you are going to take your point of view i could say, what has Garner achieved compared Mbappe at PSG when he was 19, different players develop at different rates. I however did say put their abilities to one side.

Money tree hardly a fair comparison mbappe a world renowned talent, at a young age, surrounded by world class players in one of the best teams in Europe, and garner in an struggling championship team, of course players develop at different rates, but carvallho has never looked like developing into a consistent performer,

Stevie f Mbappe had the talent at a young age but he was not world renowned when he started out. Mbappe was surrounded by world class players but Garner had world class players at Utd, although off course Utd have not been one of the best teams in Europe lately but they have world class players nevertheless. It could be argued Carvalho needs a team to be built around him so his weaknesses get covered by others so he can do what he does best.

I can only hope that’s tongue in cheek, surely you build a team around your strongest players, not one of your weakest, were not talking about a Robertson here, this bloke doesn’t appear to impress professionals anywhere, he’s given a run and then left out, I can understand it at benfica, but here, and 2nd div Almeria, ?
