Better tell wolves then😁😁.

15 Mar 2021 21:15:28
😂must be an eye opener for him, his last appearance for us was away at millwall, now he’s up against messi and griezmann at the camp nou, 😂.

15 Mar 2021 21:23:24
You looking forward to Cheltenham stevie f?

15 Mar 2021 21:39:13
Bowie yes mate, will be strange tele viewing, I’ve only missed going 3times I think since ‘86, would have been in Cheltenham tonight in normal times, would have taken Stratford in today, and been having a few jars in Cheltenham tonight, are you a racing man mate?

15 Mar 2021 21:49:53
Used to be mate. Remember i told ya i had bad gambling habit. Still love to watch it though mate. Bet u had some class times at Cheltenham. One day soon 👌.

15 Mar 2021 22:00:09
Bowie of course, yes mate I remember you saying, glad you got sorted, Cheltenham’s is a great 4 days, got to say I preferred it when it was 3 days, the quality was a bit better, I miss going racing,

15 Mar 2021 22:00:21
Chase me chase me lol😁
Tell you what lads I've noticed a big difference in my bank since these lockdowns.
I love a bet but never realised how much a tenner here and there mounts up.
I won't do any sort of payment online and so i can't bet and its taught me a lesson and made me ask myself .
Do i miss a gamble?
And no i don't theresmore profit in not gambling is the proof i needed.
When the fun stops?
Stop.
Or when you can't?
Then do you really miss it?

15 Mar 2021 22:15:43
Ff79 I can go racing and not have a bet mate, I’m lucky my only addiction is forest! ( or unlucky😊) but I know what you mean small losing bets add up to a lot of money, makes me laugh when the bookmakers say “”bet responsibly ‘ “ what they mean is lose slowly, I know a couple of clued up lads that get money punting horses, as soon as you win a few weeks, the bookmakers close your account or restrict your stakes, absolute cowards who want it all their own way,

15 Mar 2021 22:22:48
Well said ff79. But if you don't miss it and can control it. Enjoy and good luck.

16 Mar 2021 09:54:21
As a retired cop I've never understood why it’s an arrestable offence to beat a horse with a whip and make it run around over dangerous obstacles in abject terror at great risk of death and injury unless it’s on a race track.?

16 Mar 2021 12:20:18
Wish you'd tell the wife that stokey. Which reminds me. Dishes to be done 🤭.

16 Mar 2021 13:10:59
Stokey red, that’s your opinion mate, it’s a pretty simplistic uninformed one, but of course you are entitled to it, and recent events in the game feed into your stance, but overall thoroughbred racehorses live in conditions and receive medical care and attention some humans would be envious of, , maybe it’s the same for me wondering why the police are hands off on some demos watching on while criminal damage is inflicted, yet seem happy to lump into a group of women peacefully holding a vigil for one of their own, life really is about opinions isn’t it, ?

16 Mar 2021 13:37:34
Agreed Stevie. As far as the demos are concerned I’m old school which is to enforce the law without fear or favour whether it’s BLM or the vigil on Clapham Common. I retired in 2009 and I sometimes can’t believe what I’m seeing and the car crash decisions taken by Command Corridor. I think as far as Clapham Common was concerned it could and should have been policed more sensitively especially in view of the unique nature of the crime and the offender. I know from the comments on the retired Police websites I see that many ex cops are tearing out what’s left of their hair!
I guess the argument for maintaining horse racing boils down to the betting vested interest. I guess the bears used in medieval bear baiting used the same arguments. Certainly the bulls in Spain are well looked after before they are tortured to death.

16 Mar 2021 14:08:21
Stokey mate am not sure comparing horse racing to bear baiting, and bull fighting (which i think is disgusting) is entirely fair, the object of racing of course, is not to ritually torture and kill the horse, unfortunately some horses do die, which has made me question myself, but overall I think horses have good lives, well cared for fit, and living in 5star Conditions,

16 Mar 2021 14:09:27
Do you know how many times I've been hit by police horses in the 70s 😂.

16 Mar 2021 14:59:57
Stevie f tell you what. Anymore of these speeches i'm putting you up for boris job mate. on one condition. You give rogies wife 20% rise 👌.

16 Mar 2021 15:05:17
Stokey think calamity Cressida just ticked a pc box mate, a very unfortunate way of selecting senior decision makers, especially in such an important role,

16 Mar 2021 15:12:39
I like watching the big races wether flat or the jumps just can't be bothered with the bread and butter stuff.
Regarding cruelty i'd say if you wanted to you could say its cruel to ride a horse altogether as to get one moving usually takes a few kicks.
Im with you stevie racehorses are generally well looked after unlike the poor donkey who has been abused for centuries and still are.

16 Mar 2021 15:35:13
Bowie I got great respect for the job rogies wife and her colleagues do, am sure a way could be found of giving them a decent reward, 2trillion in debt isn’t a very promising out look for us though, hope they can all work something out, as for Boris’s job, he’s welcome to it mate, whoever gets that job has a no win situation in front of him,

16 Mar 2021 16:02:37
Sounds like hughtons at the moment. But yes mate they need rewarding. Never taken for granted 👍.

16 Mar 2021 18:25:35
Stevie, you say you were a Cheltenham regular? I'd love to go. Is it pricey? I'm working less pretty soon and I'll have more time, maybe next year I'll look into it. Three winners today, all favourites though, small wins. On the cruelty bit, race horses are got to be the best looked after animals ever, aren't they?

16 Mar 2021 18:49:15
Mvred hi mate, yes sadly everything at the festival is top price, ale food, etc, but it’s well worth a visit, try one of the “ off “meetings, in the season, not so hectic or pricey, the town centre can be a bit lkje the Wild West festival week, but it’s worth experiencing at least once,

16 Mar 2021 18:52:12
Mvred on the cruelty thing mate, I love animals, and it’s sd when one gets injured, but I have visited a couple of big yards and the facilities are fantastic, the diet, the vet care, is top class,

16 Mar 2021 19:28:05
Thanks for the reply, I've never been to a major course so I think I'll look into it and start saving up.

16 Mar 2021 21:14:31
one law for the rich and one law for the poor.
