Because we all must be fed up with going on about the situation at Forest, let me try to get a discussion going about the state of football in general and what you would like to see change for the sake of football. I'll tell you my thoughts and ideas, you let me know yours, see what we can come up with.
The first thing I would do is fiss the top clubs off into a European league and fiss sky tv along with them. Give the tv rights to the bbc and itv. Put all other clubs into a four or five league EFL shall we call it, about 16 teams in each league, bring the FA cup back big time again even a league cup. Four up four down in all leagues, NO play offs . Proper decent wage caps on all leagues, for players and managers. Wages based on win, loose or draw, all players in the same team to receive the same wages, no prima donnas getting 10 grand, younger players getting 5 hundred, all managers in the same league get the same wages,
Transfer fees between the leagues limited to say 5mill max . NO transfers on own developed players until the age of 23,to stop the big boys coming in to get them for peanuts, after 23 get what you can for them.
Don't really know what to say about ownership, if we can get the costs down we wouldn't need these greedy rich gits from abroad, we could do without them, we could also tell the scourge of football today, namely the Bar Steward agents to do one as well, if players need assistance with contracts and other things give the job to older players that have retired, I have more ideas but I'm sure you've had enough by now, sorry its so long. Give me your views.

Too much to take in mate.
Players wage caps aren't possible though its against the law to have a maximum wage.
Only way you could workthat would befor every club to agree which will never happen.
Its up to each individual club to decide how much they pay to players and i get your point as more often than not the clubs pay way above what they can afford.

Dreamteam, football these days is set up for plastic supporters of the top clubs most of which have never been nor never will go to a live game in their lives, I got a mate ‘ supports Manchester city, and Barcelona, a few years ago he ‘ supported ‘ Manchester United,! They sit in front of the box on a Sunday with their replica shirts on, say we this and we that, real fans messed about with match re arrangements, let the ‘big “ clubs have their European league, all the major trophies are bought and paid for now anyway, big money coupled with big egos has ruined every sport, the best days of all sports are 60’s 70’s and 80’s, I watch premier league games, to be honest most bore the backside off me, with its boring backwards sideways possession game, most of the English premier league has very little to do with this country, it’s almost got to the point, that unless you got a vowel on the end of your name. You can’t get a job in the English game, what a sad state of affairs,

If that’s the of things then and nothing can be changed I’ll give Forest and other SMALL club’s 10 year’s before they are all gone, but I probably will be to âš½ï¸ðŸ¥ƒðŸºðŸ‘.

I don’t think they’ll ever scrap the playoffs mate . It keeps the divisions alive for the whole season.

I agree with lots of the comments but sad to say apart from the super league it just won,t happen.
The only way any changes will ever occur is if attendances start to fall dramatically and that doesn’t look likely.
Ultra rich men will carry on wanting an English club for all the wrong reasons ,TV pay for stations will still broadcast while they draw in big money and players will then continue to be vastly overpaid.
If you want old style football entertainment non league is the place to go ,you,d enjoy it if you really got involved and be more appreciated !

Carlo still believe football could be changed if enough people and the right people wanted it to, really believe that none of the things I suggested will ever happen, just wanted all your opinions. I do go to watch my local none league football and get more enjoyment from that than Watson Forest at the moment, can't wait to get back to it, but believe thave called this season off.

2star agree mate, play offs best innovation ever, keeps the major of clubs and fans interested for the whole season, inherently unfair of course, but I think everyone has accepted its set up nowadays,

Thanks stevie for replying to my earlier post mate and I agree with all you said, its such a shame that we can't go back to those years you mentioned to see some exciting proper blood and thunder football with tackling and no rolling about. I feel sorry for young supporters today, when you speak to them they think today’s football is great, but there you go . At least I’ve only got a few years left to be along suffering Forest Fan but very pleased I was born when I was, Fantastic years Never To be seen again mate.
