Hughton happy with a draw, forever bigging up the opposition.

Good motivation for the players

I think we should just set up a shuttle bus outside the city ground for managers 🤣🤣🤣he won't be going no where so just get use to it 🤣🤣🤣.

While he is in charge Forest are going nowhere.

13 Mar 2021 20:10:18
I don’t know about that, he’s going nowhere which this squad but does have a good record when he’s built a team of his own . Not really sure where we go from here but some needs to be making arrangements to clear the decks .

What must jenkinson, arter, colback and bong be costing us? It could in excess of 150k per week! What a dreadful mistake, we sold Matty Cash to fund that . I hope we sort it out soon .

2star I've got to admit I'm on a bit of a winde up mate the football as been dire but to be honest the players we have are dire I'm not sure any manager could do owt with this team at the minute but seriously am fed up with changing managers it's obviously not worked over the last 10 years fact Houghton could get us to the premier League he's proven it with teams before but needs backing by the owner wether he will remains to be seen if lamouchi had been backed in the January window we might have done better that season and might be doing better this season under lamouchi even if we hadn't of gone up we've needed decent strikers and a number 10 for seasons now so the problem with strikers and not scoring was always going to happen once grabbon stopped scoring I don't know what the answer is any more for forest my wish would be a new owner first and to keep a manager for 2 or 3 seasons but will be what it will be mate.

If he's going knowhere then that means forest aren't as far as i'm concerned.

I am with you on that one FF, I remember all the optimism of appointing CH, I did a bit of research and warned he was similar team playing style to lamouchi, the football is no better. He will keep forest up but I do not think he will take us to the premiership, especially with the setup we have at present.

We don't want to be going into the prem, with the setup we have at the minute, we are light years away from being ready for that. I can see next season being much the same as this . Some on here are relying on the young lads to come in and save us next season, but can you really expect five or six young lads to come in and play consistently well for a full season, it don’t happen. Apart from that some want younger players bought, wich is ok, but that means even more younger players so even more players that are probably inconsistent . If we are to go down this route, we have to keep hold of Worrell and McKenna at all cost plus one or two other experienced players, then if we hang on to joe who’s probably our only sellable asset apart from the young lads, were does the money come from to add these other players to the squad . Also you want to see the back of C H and bring in A N other don’t think that will come cheap, hence we are no where near ready to go into the prem, bring a younger side in bye all means, it might work, and I’d like to see it, just don’t expect to much, and don’t slag them off if it fails, not sure some on here could do that.

Im not bothered about going into the prem i'd prefer us to become a competitive and entertaining side first a bit like the Brentford project, i think we'd all accept that as a first stepping stone.

Realistically to get Forest in the Premiership and stay there you are talking between 4-5 years provided the Fat Greek takes on board the lessons learned and poor transfers.
His advisor's and DOF will need sacking and a real guidance on how the Championship works plus a path to follow.
All this is of course if the Fat Greek doesn't get bored and shows he is 100% committed to achieving promotion.

Absolutely agree. We can't expect young players that bag a couple of goals for U23 team being fast forwarded in to first team. We do need to start signing younger players though but in stages, which means the manager has to stay a while for a consistent approach and not just sign 10 players like we have been. Look at the young players we have sold. Most hardly played for us, moved on for rediculously high fees and practically all have struggled/ failed.
The club have made massive mistakes chasing the Premier league but I do feel lessons have been learned and there will now be a different approach.
