A 17 year old Harvey Elliott ran the midfield for Blackburn yesterday

We have a 17 year old in the U23s a striker called Dale Taylor big strong and quick scores goals, bring him into the first team squad to give him experience for next year.

I'm excited about next season without having to get over the top expensive journeymen in to squad.

Look at this for a team

Samba

Gabriel
Mbe Soh
McKenna
Riberio

Yates
McGuane
Johnson

Mighten
Jephcot
Dale Taylor

Worrall sell him to fund Jephcot from Plymouth and bank 8m.

Agree2 Disagree0

Sell Worrall?! Sir you are either mad or you have the pox 😂😂😂
By the way any news on why Grabban was left out yesterday?

Like you I also believe there are reasonable reasons for being optimistic next season. Not least is the fact that we've currently got a manager who is pragmatic and knows this division. He's very aware of what his mission is, let's trust him and back him to deliver the goods. If he's given the freedom to buy (realistically! ) and sell who he wants to then I think we'll have a squad capable of competing at the right end of the table.

That would be complete suicide and hopefully just some fantasy that’s circling in your mind Mr Mad.

Mcguane won't make the grade at championship level along with swann.
Compare Elliott yesterday at seventeen and that's potential if not a finished article, mcguane is 21 so is swann don't hang your hopes on those two the better options are Johnson and Fornah with the star of the show being mighten.

Yes FF, they’d got a few youngsters in there yesterday and a couple looked really good . I’m still undecided on McKenna and the trouble is he’s so injury prone he’s struggling to put a run together and prove his worth . I’ll be disappointed if we sell worrall now, as fans we’ve done the hard yards of watching him make some big cock ups, big mistakes he’s learnt from and made him what he is now . It’ll be a rough one to swallow if we only enjoy the player he’s grown into for one season . No doubt he’ll be sold though, after all that’s what we do well isn’t it? Stupidity - we’re reassuringly expert at stupidly aren’t we?

Every player has a price, Worrall ‘s now must be 15 M + . A top 5 premier league club will get him as he will only improve. If Mighten scored 10 in the first half of the season, it won’t be ignored. We have to learn to be canny like Peterborough who manufacture forwards and sell them as a business to keep them afloat! they sell their top forwards yet are 2nd the in L1. Brentford are another . So the key is a first class scouting net work and attract youngsters to our academy by improving its status. We have tried investing in a senior product to mainly our dismay over the years. The Jephcoats from lower leagues are worth a gamble. Toney paid off for Brentford but how long will he stay there .

Sadly, whilst it’s not the prognosis we’d like to hear your probably right doc,

Trouble with mighten is he still works out his next move before getting control of the ball. Still all a bit frenetic. He needs to calm down when receiving the ball. Not every touch has to be a killer and take his man out in one move. Thought many of our players had a poor first touch on saturday, krovinovic, christie to name two. Blackburn moved the ball swiftly and easily with good touches.

Yep there’s no cure for stupid I’m afraid 😟!

Mbe Soh called Mighten something special, and Harvey Elliott praised him also. Mighten also scored the only goal of the game.

The fact that Blackburn did not score suggests they did not have killer touch that Mighten craves so was Blackburn's good work in the area where it matters.
