Hopefully most of us are feeling a bit more positive about survival now. It's still going to be a scrap to the end of the season but we have put ourselves in a better position.

I have been thinking about the rebuilding job needed in the summer to ensure that we are not in this position again next season. Defensively we are fairly solid. Christie will depart I am sure as we will not want to offer him a big contract. The only question is whether we trust Gabriel to step up or whether we pursue another alternative. Jenkinson is not the answer, although handy as backup if he will still be under contract.

Midfield and attack is completely different and will need a major overhaul in my view. If he can stay fit and mobile Murray might be worth a one year contract as backup. We can't rely on Grabban for goals any longer and Taylor has still to show what he can do. Our two best midfielders are on loan so technically will go back to their clubs. Krovinovic may be available to buy, but there is no way that Man U will let Garner go for any price that we could afford. The only viable option would be another loan if Man U want him to continue his development. Knockaert will go back to Fulham and their fate in the Premier league will have an influence on his next move. Ameobi is inconsistent and Lolley is not the force he was. I think we need to be looking at a rebuild of the midfield and attack.

Good post mate my concern in signing JK os he's playing the number ten role and while good on the ball doesn't look like he can score.
We have to get a player in that position that can get ten goals.
Agree on trying to get garner on l8an again let's hope jonson comes back and fills the number ten void and with mighten getting a few games under his belt and gabriel.
Maybe we don't need to sign too many players.
Id rather we didn't try for Christie and knockheart again, i couldn't believe the argument those two were having on the pitch but can understand christie being angry with no protection in front of him.

Certainly agree that we need more goals from midfield. Hopefully Johnson can go some way to addressing that. Krovinovic is better than any other attacking midfielder we currently have and would be worth a punt if the price is right.

Whilst Krovinović looks to be an honest player who is prepared to put himself about my concern is that he doesn't look good enough. Gabriel looks to be developing ok with Blackpool and should be first team squad standard next season. I have been making a point of watching Lincoln (when possible) and am concerned a bit with Johnson's body strength and physicality, also his sustained involvement in a game atm? I am more concerned about the treatment of Joe Lolley currently who is our best footballer by miles and miles. He needs to be used a lot better. Tough game coming up.

I think we need to get a second winger in, and a bit of extra creativity in midfield (as always) I also think we need to bin Grabban. I’d like to see Yates given a go at right back. He has the engine and has the defensive instincts plus he can be there to support and get back, he might not have a killer cross but as a right back it’s not as important.

RHR, I think the whole team misses Cash as an outlet and I think Lolley has missed him behind him more than anyone.
They played really well together and I think he misses the supply and break aways those 2 used to enjoy. Would be great to see him back to his best.

I really enjoy watching Knockhearts energy now but when he does the cut ins to his left foot wish he would pass it every now and then rather than shooting himself every time.

Krovinivic is a massive upgrade on what we had but I wouldn’t sign him permanently. I can’t knock his work rate and he gets stuck in, plays with heart and passion and covers yards and yards .

His touch isn’t great though and his pass conversion seems quite poor as well, whilst we should be very grateful for his huge efforts I don’t think he’s a long term solution .

When you look at him from a getting stuck in perspective he’s well equipped for this league and makes you wonder who on earth ever thought carvalho would be, pushed offf the ball too easily and quite lazy, two things you could never accuse krovinivic of. It’s just that bit of quality in the last third I think he lacks .

2star make up your mind mate, you say krovinivich is a major upgrade but don’t want him signed, surely if anyone is a major upgrade from what we have we need to sign them so long as the price is right. Not sure the class of midfielders you think we can attract to Forest but I don’t think we’ll get much better, but at the end of the day he’s only on loan so maybe he won’t want to come.

Dont worry carvalho will be back and a better player for playing regularly and Johnson.
