I think it's a bit unfair to criticise CH for his perceived dour defensive style of play. This is presumably based on his previous managerial career at Newcastle, Norwich and Brighton newly promoted to the Premiership. With respect, if a small club with limited funding tries to survive by playing attractive attacking football (commendable though this is) they will be taken apart week after week.
The proven best means of surviving is the Pulis/ Dyche method of being well organised, immensely physical and defensively strong. It's not pretty but Burnley are still there and Stoke would be still if they hadn't opted for a more attractive style under Sparky Hughes.
As the pragmatic Dyche said "If you want to see us play like Barcelona then the owners need to give me Barcelona s budget. " Or was that Warnock?

So you did not consider Brentford and Bournemouth to be small clubs when they got promoted from league one.?

Good post Stokey but why hasn’t CH played 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 with two strikers up front? It’s the same old one up top let’s defend defend defend attitude. I feel at times that he doesn’t realise goals win games. His win ratio at Forest is roughly about 30% I think which is close to relegation form, and to be honest I find his football akin to watching paint dry.
Where is the excitement? Where are the goals? Where is the passion? Where’s the hope?

Regfrog that's easy to answer.
He doesn't have any other plan or system's.
When he takes off a midfielder for Taylor to come on he puts Gràbban in midfield, so its one tactic and that's it.
