I understand people loiking at Johnsons stats and thinking he could be the answer but I remember Jorge Grant and Tyler Walker scoring loads of goals and getting good reviews whilst out on loan in the lower leagues. We need to remember that he's playing at a lower level and they don't always cut it at championship level, especially if they're thrown into a struggling team. Having said that I'd probably bring him back from loan and give him some game time from the bench.

I do think you have a point about throwing a on loan player into a struggling team Forest team, i would still bring him back as he could not be worse than some of the Forest players.
